I ll tell you a feature that z3 doesnt have though...
Its called Troll-free mode...
Wish they had implemented that...
AnonD-31288, 26 Sep 2014i'm a previous xperia z lte user and it was a disaster i switched to it from my galaxy s3 back... moreBs, the flaps are now much better than on z. I have z2 and been using it the last 6 months. Flaps still working fine, no lag and still water resistant.
i'm a previous xperia z lte user and it was a disaster i switched to it from my galaxy s3 back then , the speaker phone is useless due to water seal you can barely hear what others are saying when your in the car with your speaker phone. the stamina mode is a joke - it never gave me a better battery life. stamina never disables your processor cores like the power saving modes in htc and samsung so even with the stamina mode on you will still waste a lot of battery power. they don't take full advantage of the android os. they can easily implement motion sensing like flip to mute and bring your phone to your ear to answer but they are not giving much care about those and sticks to stock android experience. the screen is gorilla glass but gives a cheap plastic feel to it. pretty sure z2 and z3 are the same so never thought of buying one. btw any water proof sony phone is a failure if there are flaps to cover ports cuz after few months the water seals on those flaps will start breaking apart. just headsup to anyone whose trying to buy xperia phones. tc.

case closed, right there.
Slayer, 26 Sep 2014Well I have owned every Xperia top end phone, Z, Z1, Z2 and never experienced this problem so ... moreI've owned an Xperia ZR and Z2 and the waterproofing failed on both. And Sony's idea of customer service is to charge you extra to tell you what you already know about their failed hardware! I even spent extra on the charging dock so I wouldn't have to open any flaps to preserve the waterproof seals on my Z2. It was a complete waste of money.
If you're going to spend nearly a thousand on a phone beware of Sony. My experience with xperia's has been that their waterproofing claims are false. My Xperia's Z2 's waterproofing failed after less than 1 month from Swimming! My first experia ZR failed in a hot tub after less than 10 minutes, but I thought the Z2 with it's ip 58 rating of water jet proof would be better. I was wrong. Swimming is hardly a water jet, but that's all it took for the phone to die completely. AND Sony's idea of customer service is to tell you the phone has water damage and CHARGE you a $25 testing fee!
kartoonz, 25 Sep 2014im very certain that the self screen crack issue will persist in this phone as well!! i had a ... moreWell I have owned every Xperia top end phone, Z, Z1, Z2 and never experienced this problem so quit your belly aching, lying and trolling. Get a life and yes, you deserve to be flamed!
Well, there is no major upgrade from z1, just better ip and screen. Procie, etc, Cant tell the difference in daily usage
I will save my money for 1st Q on 2015. Hope sony make a major hardware upgrade

Which it indeed mathematically and logically is...
And which trolls ,such as that anonymous fanboy of me there above, love to use for trolling...you know, when sth happens to someone and you generalise it on the entire production line just to...troll that product...
Get my point?
Camera is good enough, thats for sure, but the low contrast becomes too obvious in some of the sample photos, even in daylight. And, the high ISO doesnt add anything particularly useful.
By the way, in the compare tool keep in mind that the Z2 samples are cropped 8mp 16:9 photos and therefore only 6mp resolution, enough to make a difference. Overall though, the Z3 does improve on the Z2 camera but as many will point out there was a lot of room for improvement.

I bet he wouldnt deny that Nexus 4 had a problem with cracking glass (back), that kinda people does not care about what happened but only who it happened to.

I'm so happy they went with a 1080 screen! I just wish they included an ir blaster then this would be my perfect smartphone.

On the topic of selfbreaking glass...it is a myth
Th... moreJust because it happens to a small number of people, doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. You wouldn't like it if it happens to you and then people say you're a liar and it's a myth because 99% people don't have that problem. It could happen only in a certain environment / usage scenario. Have some empathy.
I know you love Sony but don't be a blind worshipper. I like Sony too, but no brand is perfect and if we turn a blind eye on their shortcomings, they'll never improve.
