Anonymous, 28 Sep 2014You took all that time to explain why you hate apple wow some people. Apple takes time to open... moreSeriously? Do you really think apple make sure all things were saved before releasing it? Then let me ask you, who's the one who release ios 8.0 then 8.1 then 8.2 but still having problems with it? Who's the one releasing the bending phone? Not Samsung I guessed :)
namealreadytaken, 27 Sep 2014Note 4 isn't 64-bit nor does it have a 41MP CameraIt doesn't have a 41MP camera, but the Exynos version of the Note 4 is 64bit.
AmateurHistorian, 27 Sep 2014Can someone name me one Android phone with:
-user-... moreSo you mean that the iPhone 6 has all those features?
First, you don't need to have them all (41MP camera, why not 80 while you're at it? 64 bit SOC, is that really gonna change the experience right now? etc..)
All Android flagships have more features than the iPhone 6, even if they don't have the whole list of random specs you're showing.
Ivan Croatia, 27 Sep 2014Just imagine faces at Qualcomm and Samsung after Apple A8 chip results?
And worst thing is ... moreYou obviously don't know what you're talking about.
They are using different architecture, just doubling the amount of cores is not as easy as what you make it look like (you have to factor in core size, temperatures, and a lot of other factors).
Frequency and the number of cores is not the only thing that makes a SOC fast.
But RAM will most likely be a limiting factor in the near future.
Also, there are already new processor that are faster than the A8 (the new Exynos in the Note 4, most likely the new Snapdragon 810, and the Tegra K1), so I don't think they are crying as it was not unexpected, Apple's processors have always been quite fast.
I don't know why so many people complain about the fact that it's still a lowly dual core, they are fast.
Having only 1Gb of RAM is something else though, even if the iPhone doesn't have real multitasking, it is a bottleneck.
iphone fans have been waiting a while to upgrade to a new design shell...and this seems to be exactly that...hardware wise the phone is not overwhelming...and is even a bit disappointing when you'd expect apple to be the leader in innovation...and innovation in many of their products seems to be hard to come by these days from apple's mgt., ever since Jobs passed away...other phone manufacturers seem to have taken the lead in this area....is Apple the next Nokia?

I've been "burned" by Samsung twice(Galaxy S1 and Galaxy S3). The Amoled screens of Samsung phones might look good, but they are pentile, being in reality of lower resolution than advertised. On the S3 I have problems reading the small text on some web-pages. Stylus for artwork? Thanks, I'm not a painter, I'm a content consumer. Design on Samsung phones? Please! Creativity? LOL, create what? Multiwindow multitasking? Have them on the S3, not using them. VR for multimedia and games? Thanks, I'll stick with my TV/Apple TV/iPad/PS4 for that. Cheaper than what? I paid for my new iPhone 6 64GB, 230 Euro down payment for a 2 years 4G, 2GB/month contract.
I should receive the iPhone 6 today or this week. I will miss the lag, no updates, bloatware, low battery life from my SGS 3! Not! :)
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2014It never has and never will blow anything away.
And while the cores might be advanced Apple ... moreThe bugs are everywhere? And that has everything to do with Apple? What about the developers and their skills (or lack thereof)?
The Apple App ecosystem wouldn't be what it is if the App experience was so crap on an iPhone, as you say it is. I have owned an iPhone for 4 years and whilst I get App crashes here and there, 90% of my Apps have never crashed.

DeDeTe, 29 Sep 2014I like Android. I do not like Samsung, though and have had four of their phones.
Right now,... moreThen you have not used any good Samsung or many fervent camera phones out there.
If you comment back s3-s5 or note 2-3 you are lying or have a fan boy problem

Right now, the iPhone 6+ is my daily driver and the phone is great. The camera is overall the best I've seen on a phone, bar none.
I have never seen the guys at GSM arena, throw so many disadvantages over a phone, like this Iphone 6.
its a disappointing upgrade by Apple, make no mistake about it. It could have been better, and im no iPhone user anymore. I tried it, and left.
kol98, 29 Sep 2014If samsung made a phone with IOS, I wonder how it would be ? A lot better than iPhone.
It would have Amoled, better chip, much larger battery, the app crashing and bugs would get better addressed, the ram would now be 2-3GB, and the multi tasking/features would get a huge overhaul.....
But that's what Android is for. A real smart phone experience.
aqibone, 29 Sep 2014Yeah. You are right. User Experience, A Perfect Experience of Stutter, Lag and Freeze starting... moreSorry. The experience on the S3...Especially on Kitkat has been great. Up to S4 and then S5 and Note 3 on Kitkat is amazing.
It's IOS that is adding lag and weight.
How about you actually start using a smartphone before commenting about them.
And while the cores might be advanced Apple purposefully holds them back drastically.
Limiting core speed due to mediocre battery and and limiting a crashing OS that get's increasingly heavier and a 64BIT chip to 1GB of ram is cruel punishment.
Can it run ok that way? Sure.....But if they cared even a little more about you and true performance rather than every single last penny of profit they can make off of you then they would fix the bugs, refine the coding and stop the crashes and lags, and up the ram to support 64BIT. Or at least 2GB. Than and giving you a 2000nah or higher battery and increasing the clock rate to 1.8-2Ghz.
If they would just do that the Iphone for once would actually fly. It would come close to having this illogical lead you all like to pretend they have. It would outperform many Androids.
Most of all it would almost actually be worth it's price tag.....
But in the end....This is IOS. This is iPhone. This is Apple. They are still the world leaders in app crashes. The bugs are every where. They have continually made the updates much heavier without adding much to show for it adding more freezes and lags...That probably has to do with lazy coding as well though. And unsupported 64BIT chip on low ram. Which is why the iphone 5 was actually more stable than the 5s.
Add to all that still an over priced set of outdated hardware "sans the SoC...though it is for being held back" and lack of current software of the this decade.
