Robbie Rob, 15 Oct 2014An issue I have with camera MP's is who needs it ? Only a pro photographer IMHO and they won't... more$5k and up for an UHD TV? Maybe 2 years ago, but today you can get a decent 40" for under $1000 and a nice, curved 55" Samsung for $1800.
Some people put too much emphasis on camera megapixels, that is true, but I wouldn't want anything lower than 10MP. Remember, you might keep these photos for decades, so don't you want to see good detail in the photos when you're showing them to your grandkids on their SuperUltraMegaHD retina-implants?
What's wrong with the Note 4s graphics performance? It's very poor compared to even the Note 3...
is there a chance You'll test the Note 4 with Exynos CPU? I wonder pictures are on the same level or not, thanks
Bogus NOTE 4,
I will buy "LENOVO VIBE Z2 PRO" any day over this crap NOTE.
Takes Far better low light pics,
Ultra slim chassis,
Super slim bezels,
Anonymous, 16 Oct 2014Why are you going around spreading miss information and doing it repeatedly? And that... moreAnother great comment dude, bang on the money again, from my understanding 8MP is the minimum quality you can view on QHD, so if you go higher to 16mp with a bigger sensor you can zoom in and crop photos without losing to much sharpness and detail, this is why the lumina 38MP phone takes such fantastic photos.
one day to go until the uk launch of the sgn4 woohoo woohoo woohoo woohoo! !!!
Robbie Rob, 15 Oct 2014In your case this is good. I though have never had issues zooming in on 5Mp from my HTC - I d... moreWhy are you going around spreading miss information and doing it repeatedly?
And that person that said great comment bang on the money to me was not replying about the camera.
And what you are continually trying to say is that just because our screens can't show full size 100% of a large detailed photo means we should accept weaker photos.
Just because we are not all professionsl photographers means we should all settle for cr@ppier cameras.
And yes that is exactly what you are saying.
And when people gave good examples of how that's not useful you try and act like they are wrong.
Why is common sense so rare????
Robbie Rob, 15 Oct 2014Wheres the link ? Cant post the link cause of spam protection on this forum, but google "note 4 blind camera comparison"
its an article from PArena, BGR reposted the results as well.
Robbie Rob, 15 Oct 2014The lowest MP cam in a smartphone is 5MP...
The point is at what point does anyone realize ... moreeven its a marketing tool... still gn4 cheaper than iphone 5 in my country and compete price with other flagship android
i guess MP camera dont make anything pricey at all, thats benefit to us as a costumer
Another mobile tech site just made a blind test of the photos taken with the Note 4, iPhone 6, Z3, Note 3 and some other phones' cameras. Guess who won by a long shot? Two hints, not the iPhone, not the Sony. Remember, it's a blind test, so people who votes didn't know what photos belong to what. Bottom line is, just buy the Note 4.
Note that Note 3 is still powerful against its younger power hungry rivals.
However, it seems Note 4 couldn't do what its predecessor had achieved at the time. (I know.. many strong competitors, xphones etc. But still...)
Blackrivers, 15 Oct 2014Ok but having 20 MP in your phone yo can change de photo resolution to whatever you want from ... moreHey.. this website shows a 3MP normal - then cropped to zoom in .. its only 3MP but makes a good point I just stated below in my 1st reply to you.
Blackrivers, 15 Oct 2014Ok but having 20 MP in your phone yo can change de photo resolution to whatever you want from ... moreIn your case this is good. I though have never had issues zooming in on 5Mp from my HTC - I dont try and zoom in long distance with people far in the background but you might be surprised. ?
Your comment about 8Mp for instance.. in order to double 8MP you need over 30 MP... So as you move up in MP's you're getting less increase percentage-wise while still using more memory space for those pictures t be stored.. The increase in quality isn't as big as you think ..
I work in healthcare and most people i know - whatever brand phone - post to facebook or take selfies... maybe vacation pics sometimes.. pictures of the kids in the yard.. the #1 use of any smart phone is texting and next facebook.
Most of the community which engage in serious photo editing use a dedicated camera with detachable lenses - not the 41 MP Windows phone you might enjoy much more..
Robbie Rob, 15 Oct 2014Yeah, but you dont need that many Megapixels to do this. 1080p= 2MP ...
I can take a group... moreOk but having 20 MP in your phone yo can change de photo resolution to whatever you want from less MP to 20MP. If you have only 8 MP your limit are only 8MP.
I use a lot an android App called Cozy magnifier like a microscope to take macro shots with 4x to 16x. In 16x with 8MP (GN2) there is a lot of grain... I hope less grain when I'll have the GN4 with 20 MP... I tell you in one more week ;)
filthyfiddler, 15 Oct 2014Great post dude ! Bang on the money! Not really..
The point is MP is over emphasized and just now a marketing gimmick. My HTC 5 MP takes great pics. Since the highest resolution screen in the world(4K screen) can only display 8 MP,, Id say anything more then 10MP is a waste of memory.
Finally, I saw yesterday a real Samsung Note 4 in a Samsung store here in Madrid. I compare it to my Note 3 and man, I can't believe I'm saying this but the Note 3 seemd so cheap with that plastic frame. Well done, Samsung. You designed beautifully the Note 4. I'm waiting a price drop and then I'll buy mine.
Blackrivers, 15 Oct 2014You con change the MP in the phone to use less resolution if you want. But having 20 MP give y... moreYeah, but you dont need that many Megapixels to do this. 1080p= 2MP ...
I can take a group family shot on a HTC with a healthy 5MP camera and still cut out bodies and still not look grainy..
