Just a quick, "let's jump over facts" and "make iPhone appear the best" comparison. So much things and facts about the Z3C neglected or not presented...
And what the hell is with this viral thing "If it's not metal it doesn't fell premium"..??

had the opportunity to sample the galaxy alpha and I will tell you, Samsung has no business releasing this phone. It does less then the s5, and it costs more. Not only that, performance is sub (considering it is a flag ship phone). We all know this phone was released in response to iPhone6. Feels like an iphone 4s but the back is still plastic.
this phone is a flop. In my country (Canada) only one major carrier is carrying this, because none of them wants to carry additional Samsung flag ship stocks, (as they are already having trouble selling off the s4's) no joke, Only Bell has it, no one else seems to care about it.
Camera also aint that good. smoothness is equivalent to the iphone 5.

I myself still... moreIn my perspective, Sony intentionally made the metal frame exclusive to the bigger Z3 to prevent cannibalism of two devices. If they put everything on Z3 Compact, it will definitely affect the interest on Z3. That polycarbonate plastic rim is not bad actually. It may not be that appealing but it is stronger than Aluminium in bend and impact tests.

The plastic rim of Sony's is disappointing. You should wait for next Z Compact. I myself still happy with Z1 Compact with metal rim. Washing phone in the tap now is new habit.

facts, 14 Oct 2014z3 has NOTHING over galaxy alpha. only waterproof but other than that alpha is better in everyway.If you buy an iPhone, you'll find dozens of Samsung lovers (Apple haters) that will criticize you. If you buy a Sammy phone, again you will face haters.
But Sony doesn't have haters and trolls like that. So for me at least, that would be an huge advantage.
