Costing almost $200 premium over the regular note 4 is hard to swallow by anyone. Use that money buying smart watch instead of the edge.

Samsung could have used up the energy and man power better..this phone is just a gimmick..too much of Galaxy Note 4 in it.

in some benchmarks which iphone6 & 6+ are not better than the others they've not been shown :)
It's American politic to not show iphone6 & 6+ in low performance benchmarks......

AnonD-129693, 16 Nov 2014that edge is the most useless feature in the mobile industry so far How can that be? It keeps annoying notifications out of the way and when the cam/vid is activated, that's where the controls appear. Does not interfere with whatever's going on on the main screen. I'd wager this edge panel will get more popular and start appearing on other handsets, and not just Samsung - maybe even Apple will shamelessly start using it in future devices. Wouldn't at all surprise me.

Well I don't give a rat's rear what others say about the Edge. I was already sold on it before I read this review. I'm "struggling" with a two-year old HTC One XL at the moment - I'm stuck with the factory battery because of this daft unibody design that most manufacturers have adopted. Having a user-changeable battery, and a dedicated notification edge, are HUGE pluses for me. So it's worth the price tag.

Because the Edge is made by Samsung, thats why it sucks. If it is made by LG, people will say different things.

                  MARK MY WORDS:

This will work better with tablets. Since its not good for handling by one hand, I bet Samsung is already cooking something for tablets. I think it would make sense in horirizontal handling. hope my comment gets famous for saying it first : )

Tom-Helge, 15 Nov 2014At least Samsung has the balls / guts to try something new and not sit on the same crap years ... morewell said... samsung really innovates and try experimenting new things but other OEM's just do nothing. they copy samsung and say samsung is a copy cat... look at iphone 6 plus, its just a bigger version of iphone 6 and nothing new whereas note series is a total different product with plenty of features and now this note edge has plus point over it... go ahead samsung... keep it up...

I had Nokia 5800 xpressmusic. It had a Penn too just like note. Most awesome thing in the world I've really enjoyed using that little penn.

Relax, 15 Nov 2014These companies sell prototypes rather than something that is actually usable At least Samsung has the balls / guts to try something new and not sit on the same crap years after years doing nothing. This applies both to hardware and software.

Samsung is one of the companies (Apple is not one of them) that actually innovates and moves both the market and the competition forward.
