actually the battery life is pretty good its just that the standby time is poor.
around 10hr of web browsing and video playback is pretty good plus you have a fast charger
just like the first HTC One M7

Whe... moreIt's not a gimmick, been using note2 since day 1 and the s-pen is the only reason i've bought and kept my note2 device. If you know how to use it and if you need it then you will never use anything than note series.

The S Pen is useful IF only the user knows how to use it correctly. Non S pen users will not appreciate this since they haven't experienced using one.

The Alpha only has 1860mAh battery. In percentage terms, 50% of Alpha's consumption means eating up 930mAh but on a Nore Edge with 3200mAh that's a whopping 1600mAh for half batt.

Just because you don't see anyone using, doesn't mean it is a gimmick. S-Pen is very good when comes to precise drawing or even writing.

Samsung needs focus now, not more ridiculous gimmicks. Most people said the original Samsung Note was a gimmick too... turned out they were 2-3 years ahead of the field... sometimes innovation involves going out on a limb.
Glad i got the Note 4 though.
