This phone is nothing less, but a last testimony of Nokia's build quality and excellence...I need to buy it, to have a last memory of our beloved company!
beats the iphone 6 for the best 8mpx camera
i wonder how is the camera on 830 in comparison to 925 Lumia?
A very good review indeed. The only thing I can complain about the phone, is that the viewing angles are not as good as I've hoped. Otherwise a very good phone:) I hope nokia will return in 2016:)
The review is very true. This phone feels like high end and works like high end, till you get your nose into written spec
skromnia, 19 Nov 2014Yet another colourful Lumia. How many so far, like 20?I think it's positive feature. I bought mine with green cover,
but did switch to black one. It was part of "comes with". Ebay already gives choice, any of official colors, price about $15, but cover has integrated wireless charge module
Jonathan, 20 Nov 2014Does the Lumia 830 capacitive buttons glow? It'll be bad if itdoesnt glow. plus, the screen has two levels of sensitivity. Normal and high. High level allows to operate phone in gloves
Jonathan, 20 Nov 2014Does the Lumia 830 capacitive buttons glow? It'll be bad if itdoesnt glow. yes, they do - glow bright in low light to darkness and doesn't in good to sunlight

As for apps windows facebook is the best. Instagram does need to catch up with another few. But when it all becomes complete wp 10 that will change more than likely.
The apps on android apart form the top ones are all rubbish. I been there, only few months ago when I purchased a Sony z3. After 4 weeks of lagroid I had to sell up and come home to lumia.

Hmmm... the fall of an era.
Apple, see this? This is the result of being complacent.
Don't think it will never happen.
I wish to buy my 1 last Nokia before its all gone. Which current device would best represent nokia? Any opinion?
The super spec 1520 (the highest spec phone in nokia line up in my opinion), the signature 1020 camera (it is Nokia that put a camera on a phone), or this final-role-out-assembly-line 830?
This is a low spec smartphone; aside from the very good camera on the back of, the device will get the denim update? why not update the Lumia 1020? it has 2 GB of RAM and a 1.5 Processor. which should be good enough for the update and if Microsoft thinks that phones with slightly smaller battery life won't be able to run the update properly, then why not just have an option to turn cortana voice control off to save battery. At least give all WP 8 devices the update so we can try the update out; if the update seems to kill the battery too much then give us the option to turn it off.
AnonD-70078, 19 Nov 2014How can you say that. The future is bright for windows. Windows desktop, yes. Windows on phone? No. Why? Because it will be killed by the lousy app supports on Windows Phones.
