the higher tear lacks one vary special microsoft surface 3 i7 tablet. the thing is a beatly fullsized laptop in a tablet shell honestly. anyway thanks gsm the guide could have been more inclusive and thus makin it more interesting. yea i know it aint a gsm device and has no phone functions but a review on the Microsoft surface 3 would be nice.

A tablet with anything less than Windows 8.1 is pointless! I use MATLAB and Code::Blocks every day on my tablet!

Toshiba Encore, Dell venue 8 pro, Asus Transformer Book, Microsoft Surface pro are quite popular, maybe even more popular than some listed here. Stream 7 and Encore 2 looks promising as well, and with the cheap price they are far better than android tablets in some aspects.

It's November 2014 tablet buyers guide N1 is not even available yet so this should not be included. I'm a little confused though about tab pro and tab s. as far as price goes, I dont think it's that much different plus Tab S is way newer than tab pro and by far samsung's best advertised as high end tablet which I think will be in their software update priority. It's just me maybe.

Windows tablets are basically pc. Windows tablets has to fight against notebooks and transformers. It is in a different category of its own. This here is only for mobile OS with limited function compared to full blown windows

No Windows tablets. Compact tablets with Windows in the 7-8 inch range are not expensive at all. Plus it's not Windows RT running on them tablets but Windows 8.1. Acer Iconia tab 8W and the HP stream 7 for example.

saif.., 28 Nov 2014Where the hell is the N1 On the first page:
"But the N1 will go on sale as early as February 19 (in China!) so by the time it makes it to other countries, the next edition of our tablet buyer’s guide will probably be out."

I agree with the others about Windows tablets.

AnonD-134497, 28 Nov 2014And again, why there is NO windows tablet included in the guide? I have no idea how they recommend Tab 3 but not Toshiba Encore, Lenovo Miix 2 or why they recommend Transformer and don't even mention it's (full) Windows 8 counterpart. Same for Yoga 8...
