The initial price without taxes is about €100 or $125 (USD) sim-free. Right now of local net stores here has it for €90.5 (without VAT).

Glossy finish on the back isn't my cuppatea as it will get scratches within the 1st day of usage ! qHD screen is quite '' LOL '' on a 5' screen, for the real first Lumia from Microsoft, I'm not conquered at all !

The 520 was a bestseller because for $200 it gave you a 4" screen and 720p video or 8GB of storage aside from great performance, which was great back in 2013. Now that everyone is following and pumping up low end phones, microsoft has this brilliant idea of doing the opposite.

Just like removing front camera and flash on the "next-gen" models of a series.

Lumia 520 had an S4 Plus series SoC (MSM8227), which have Adreno 305 or 225. Snapdragon 200 has Adreno 203 (which does not support WP at all) or Adreno 302. So, Nokia/MS had little choice considering the 535 is still very much a budget phone (going for the older S4 Plus chipsets was probably not a realistic option).

I love Lumias and WP, but I hate the way M$ is treating the low-end models by intentionally crippling some features; 520 had 720p and adreno 305, now its "upgrades" have adreno 302 and just 480p??? Even no-name $70 phones do 720p and those in the 535's price tag do 1080p today you M$ people!!!

The lumia 620 & 625 used to have had LED flash and forward facing cameras; they removed them on the 630 & 635, downgrading them to the level of the old 520 in terms of features. They're not famous for doing anything good in the past 20 years, but this is plain stupid of microsoft.

Had purchased this Handset the very next day it got available in Rajasthan,India.
Had a blind faith in Nokia/Microsoft as i had already used Nokia 630 prior to Buying and "Selling" Nokia 535.
Touch Is pathetically Worst. Its in same league of some bad Chinese cell phone back in 2010.
Tried everything suggested in all the forums, like update apps to Os and disabling the ease options in setting.
But it doesn't work as expected at all.
Phone lags to the worst and keeps on dialling the last dialled number even when the phone is Locked.
The build quality seems to be Okay compared to the competition but no where in league of other Lumia phone, say Nokia 630.
Yes phone is very easy to hold and use but the plastic cover at back keeps pressing inside.
In a nutshell, phone offers all what is expected in the price point but you have to suffer screen issues.
Battery backup was surprisingly good for any 5" dual sim smartphone.
Well couldn't suffer much torchere even after paying 10 thousand so sold this one back to the dealer for 1000 less and bought Nokia Lumia 730.
Nokia Lumia 730 is the real upgrade to Nokia 630 user, haven't used samsung phones from past 7-8 month so no comments on their line up of grand prime series.
Thanks guys!
Cheers!

Hate how MS doing what Nokia does before. A great budget phone but will never show up in the NA. Just like the Lumia 625, and the LTE on 625 doesn't support t-mobile and this one(535) doesn't have LTE! I really wish MS can make a 535 v2 for NA, unlocked with LTE( and single sim is fine). Then the phone will be a much better upgrade than the Lumia 635 coming from the Lumia 521.

Adreno 203 supports 720p recording and playback, but it's probably a bit marginal for 720p/30 recording and MS opted for 480p recording. 720p playback should still work and I don't know why MS has not enabled that. Perhaps the GPU can't perform the downscaling (720p->540p) fast enough for smooth playback.

Bought one, the touch sensitivity is not perfect but just a minor annoyance at times and may be rectified in future updates, however this has been a fantastic phone for the price, I have experienced no lags or crashes so far even with the "slow" processor
