TheManhatten, 03 Mar 2015nah nah, one big weak spot is batteryi felt the same but if the super fast charging is true 10 mins for 4hrs im happy to sacrifice battery size as a compromise...will wait to see tests before casting opinion further
Shottayouth, 03 Mar 2015For those concerned about small battery. http://www.sammobile.com/2015/03/03/as-expected-broa... morebut if they put 3k it would last even longer ye? its a flagship not a just a phone -_- so... also it uses ION battery no PO which is quite cheap to produce and u pay $1k, but except design and battery everything is fcking amazing and innovative :) design - SUCKS ! :D

I can't figure out for the life of me how they had amazing speakers back in 2009 that the M7 and M8 barely sound any better than.
And never carried them over the S1 or added them back later on. And here we are with the S6 and still no sign of stereo speakers.
Shottayouth, 03 Mar 2015Since when was "water-proofing" a key selling point on the Galaxy S Line?
Until t... moreI can say same thing for my S5 : when it rains, i can't use the screen if there's any water drop on it.
I have first to clean it then i can resume what i was doing (texting, trying to call, taking a picture).
Hahaha looking at the trollers and people bashing the design... One day when samsung will decide to have stereo speakers on front they will be criticised by saying they have copied htc or moto as the case may be... I dont really know whereto put the damn speaker for the sake of change. The only place left is either on top or on the sides, only this way the samsung is going to innovate design. Yeah i kno they could have placed the speakers at.... Hey hello but where?? i dont know a single place except as given in the phone where it cud be placed without getting criticised or being stamped as copycats.
The only pain is no exapandable storage.
Otherwise different n beutiful design,
but hey trollers look they have copied glass panel from sony....hahaha. I
pescarolo, 03 Mar 2015While I'm just about to praise the S6 with its fresh design, here comes the disappointment for... moreSince when was "water-proofing" a key selling point on the Galaxy S Line?
Until the S4 Active that was not an option on the S Series.
The S5 came with it standard and added an Active version but that didn't make it sell any better.
The ability to use your phone when wet sounds attractive but unless the screen allows you to do so problem free what is the point?
And I am talking from experience. I had an Xperia Z2 and it was impossible to do anything with the screen when "bubbles" of water were on it let alone when it was fully wet. Don't know if the Active lines or the S5 for that matter had the same issues.
So for me water-proofing is nice. But nowhere near essential.
But each person is entitled to their opinion and I respect yours.
I just don't agree with it.
I had issues with the non-removable battery but after doing a little reading and realising that alot of tech has gone into the entire phone (processor, chip, screen) plus the decreasing of battery sapping apps I'm having less reservations about that.
MicroSD cards stopped being an issue to me when they started failing at the most inopportune time so since the early part of last year I use cloud storage.
Dropbox, Google, Picasa.
There's only so much i need to store on a card.
Those are my views on the subject.
I use the Note Series (N900 & N910C) but this new iteration of S has me interested.
Will probably pick up one just to get a preview of what this year's Note will improve on.
For those concerned about small battery.
Jay, 02 Mar 2015I watched the event last night and I am impressed with the design. they are good looking devic... more1.Sony uses thicker device AND places the camera at the top corner of the device of the device above the display.
This allowes them to pretty much use the entire thickness of the device for the camera sensor.
As well as using a non removable battery in a wider, thicker, and taller body compared to S6 and wider and taller non removable and newer compared to S5....permits for larger battery capacity.
As well as if you followed along as much as you claimed you would know that due to how efficient the display, soc, memory in s6 are compared to others plus how they ask benefit from the efficiency of ddr4 ram. That the S6 will have great battery compared to others and to the S5. Though regardless should have used a bigger one I think.
Well, since there is no longer removable battery and sd card slot i was hopping they to keep the waterproof feature, now if this thing falls on water its gone.
darkraver, 03 Mar 2015Aluminium shell on note4, alpha is not that premium compared to other aluminium edged phones..... moreAll the aluminums used in most cases scratch ip pretty easily. Thats a silly thing to say. Even if the Note 4's supposedly a little more suceptable.
What does count is that it looks a lot better than most other aluminum frames.
And that device proved to be a lot more durable than other metal clad devices. Like the M8 and the ibend.
Just more of your bias fallacies
pescarolo, 03 Mar 2015While I'm just about to praise the S6 with its fresh design, here comes the disappointment for... moreEven i agree with you samsung should not have done that they should upgrade thier phone keeping in mind about the previous versions.samsung is famous for its unique features. If somebody wants just luxury design there are many other brand like apple bit disappointed from samsung

S6 is another fiasco for samsung, edge screen is experimental..not including sd slot is a big mistake.non removable battery is another mistake.Right now am waiting for the worlds most impressive smartphone, the LG G4.Coming soon!! Watch this space
There are a lot of comments pointing out that s6 copied the fruit device, small battery and no expandable storage, and this means "total and utter failure." Here's some points in favour of the s6
1. For those who have seen the mwc event, a direct comparison was made with photo and video of s6 and the fruit product. For the information of fruit users happy to be using 8mp for multiple generations(read : forever) that should be an eye opener.
2. The s6 edge looks great in the hands on pics and vids at mwc, and which device was the edge copied from ?? If your response is the design is meaningless then please withold from such response till there is detailed review or usage of the final product by the people.
3. Complaints about battery life cannot be made without actual usage statistics. The mAh figure is just representative of the battery capacity and not of how efficient the device is or how well optimized. The G3 and the Note4 are fine examples on the bottom and top of the battery usage characteristics.
4. About the removable storage...
a. the mwc event revealed usage of the new flash storage which will be a big upgrade in r/w speeds.
b. Lets say you want to record a 4k video, what will be the processing times of a class 4 or even class 10 micro sd compared to the flash storage
c. until the price points of the storage options are released it cannot be said whether sammy follows the path of cupertino in charging a huge premium for every increment in storage.
