The a3, a5, and a7 aren't for power users but just people who want an affordable nicely built branded phone -- and that's most people.

The A5 is only $355 usd in Hong Kong, the A7 $425 -- not bad coming Samsung.

In the review gsmarena said the back panel is made of plastic but other sites said its a full metal jacket, so which is which now, is the back panel made of plastic or aluminum? Is it also the same with the A5 and A3?

Great review, as always. This time however, the phone price seems to be playing the major role but there is actually no amount mentioned other then that A7 is slightly less then Note 4 and more expensive then the Note 3. But, in Thailand, A7 is unlocked and sells for less then $500 which is much cheaper then the Note 4 ($850) and even cheaper then Note 3 (going for about $650). It seems like Samsung priced A7 much better for this market and that makes it a very good value here. I think your review should take into account different pricing for different markets and focus more on phones actual Pros & Cons.

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2015Non-removable battery? Samsung is going to the wrong direction. Nokia started making phones... moreApple has always had non removable battery, it doesnt seem like they are going out of business morover nokia had the majority of their devices WITH removable battery when they sold to miceosoft

From the description, I think you meant it is a dual Sim / dual active device. Dual standby device does not allow both Sims to work at the same time. This is a big plus for Samsung as they are the only company (in my knowledge) who provide dual active device.

ow, so the non removeable battery minus point is still there... i thought gsmarena will never put it on the disadvantage again

                              Non-removable battery?
Samsung is going to the wrong direction.
Nokia started making phones with non-removable battery, and it's now out of business.
HTC, Sony and Blackberry started making phones with non-removable battery, and they now struggle.

it's a proof that non-removable battery is a major disadvantage, people with right mind won't buy phone with non-removable battery (only fanboy praise Non-removable battery)

so if you need affordable Samsung phone with big screen, better get Galaxy Note 3 Neo while it still available.
                              it is better option.

I think xperia m4 is better, its waterproof, and very much cheaper with same xpec.

It's just another "Galaxy" phone. Low end, high end, it's all one diluted brand.

I must say, A5 really light when the first time I holded. I can't imagine if I hold A7. People lot ask about USB On The Go, I must say USB otg can use with any devices out there, I have otg and I used on such cheap phone like leagoo (you'll probably never heard) so there is no problem with otg.
