zf2, 01 Apr 2015As time passes buy I'm less and less interested in buying this phone. It looks like camera is ... moreThe quality of the captured image is satisfactory for the price point abd the price is same(almost). They said the phones would cost $200 and $300. A price difference of $20 is acceptable. Don't be such a cheap*ss, you are getting what you pay for. Were you expecting an iPhone or S6 for this price?
zf2, 01 Apr 2015As time passes buy I'm less and less interested in buying this phone. It looks like camera is ... moreWe share the same sentiment. I was also too excited when Asus announced this last january. But after seeing the samples, I think I'll be sticking to Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. The camera of zenfone 6 has its own issues (inaccurate white balance during daytime pics and over exposure), but the level of detail is satisfactory for me. Asus could have used the same image processing from zenfone 6 but they didn't.
I hope that terrible camera can be remedied by installing Camera fv-5 app....or at least Asus' own pixelmaster camera app.

As time passes buy I'm less and less interested in buying this phone. It looks like camera is disappointing, prices higher than announced.I was close to buy it but now I look for alternatives...
Dear Asus, please turn down sharpening, contrast and noise reduction or, better, give us manual control for these settings. Jpeg processing really destroy image quality. With respect, Radu, Zenfone 6 owner.
Camera qualitiy is so good, but when you zoom into the picture it is like some damaged. I have zenfone 2, so camera zooming qualitiy is worst. You can buy other phones instead of it. Thank you!
W....wow... are you kidding me? This is ain't a rocket in benchmarks. All it really beats is a Samsung Galaxy S5 and that's all? Well, if the benchmarks run at 64-bits, then it's going to kick their back off!
To address the comments criticising the quality of the zoomed in photo's, bear in mind that that level of zoom is around 3x most decent screen resolutions. Or more than if it were printed on A3 size paper. Consider that and you should realise that the level of detail is actually pretty damned good. And as others have said the colour and exposure is also very good.
We've already seen some very impressive low light capabilities around the web too.
So all up, we should be very happy with ASUS' effort here.
So zenfone-2 will be available in India by the last week of April. And only ZE551ml? And the pricing for the European market are different. Considering that, will the pricing for indian market also vary? Too confused............
kuyumad, 01 Apr 2015Disappointing camera. Zenfone 6 got better camera than this. If you zoom in on the samples you... moreBut the camera samples look PERFECT before zooming. Do we really have to zoom pictures from a phone camera? There are always compromises... at least here the colors and contrast look great and the pictures look beautifull and sharp... at the size they will be displayed on your phone.
AnonD-229512, 01 Apr 2015gsmarena, why another hands on article Asus Z2? I think you have done it in CES 2015. You shou... morethey cant do a whole review without the phone. they only saw it at the press event in Paris.
Perfect now we can install Windows 8.1 dual boot and have a phone/desktop hybrid
gsmarena, why another hands on article Asus Z2? I think you have done it in CES 2015. You should prepare the complete review
Good heavens the camera samples are utterly terrible, they look worse than the 2003 model phones with 2MP cameras. No detail whatsoever! The Zenofone 6 takes better pics with it's 13MP rear sensor.
I want to buy a Flash-capable phone ima facebook game addict can it run Adobe Flash?
Anonymous, 01 Apr 2015the other model is betterThat's up to the user and what they plan to use it for. Sure, I could get the top of the line version, but there's not a huge difference in screen quality from 720p to 1080p at these sizes, and the battery life is surely better with the 720p version.
Did I mention gaming is gonna be way better as it's 720p and has an overclocked iphone 5s GPU...?
the top of the line has a lot going for it, but only if you wanna spend the extra $120-150. If the battery life isn't significantly worse (say, less than 10%), I may get the one with 1080p/1.8GHz/4GB-RAM/32GB-ROM
