Bling, you saw a yellow in LG, purple on N73, but you keep skipping odvious PINK+VIOLET on K800, take a look at the tree, branches, don't you see it?
And i told you that those stripes on mini car must be white, just like N73 did, not grey, like on K800. Why don't you comment on that? So who's got more accurate color?
Also, take a look at radiator grill,
http://i.gsmarena.com/ii/reviewsimg/5mpvs3mp/crops/gsmarena_crop008.jpg
on N73 pic you can see even small detailes, while on K800 and LG everything is lost...
hey stop arguing those photo quality!!!!!! those megapixels phone sucks! VGA cameras ROCKS!!!! nyahaha!!!
LG has the sharpest and most reliable photos in the test. nokia and SE just have nothing to do in comparison to the LG's one. the pictures in lg have problems with yellow color, but is remedied by photo editors by reducing the brightness of the yellow tint and is back to normal color rendition with unbeatable resolution even in 3mp mode and sharpness even at edges unlike the SE and nokia. in nokia and se if edited by a software doens't bring out good expectation for they're both having crap sensors. hmm. maybe gsmarena must include the Sharp 903 in the contest, and those K800 and N73 will eat dust=D.
Lg wins obviously.
SE and Nokia just eat dust in 3mp mode. their fans are so bitter
SrCc:
nokia has best displays? hey boy even though nokia has 16m colors and 352x416 resolutions isn't mean that nokia has the best display in a phone but samsung/sharp and benq-siemens S88. try comparing even samsung's lowest type stn displays with nokia's one. TFT displays in nokia when adjusted the brightness to the highest level will not be reliable for viewing angles at less than or over 90 degrees and it isn't even as bright as the one used in S88 benq-siemens' OLED LCD. in short E70/N95's lcd is no match even to the OLED of the lower class S88. please be very realistic. nokia's tft displays are only good in low-lights but colors are whitish/washed-out when brightness adjusted to high.
@ Rus
Did you notice that whole overall PURPLE tint?????
just flick between the k800i shot and N73.
And also just picked up on the LG error. Flick between Lg and K800i pic. you'd notice that the LG has a yellow tink
rus the point of a camera is to caputue the moment not to enhance it. by saying Nokia is the best camera you're penalising Sony for Caputring what was seen, you're basically saying since sony only rendered what was seen isn't good enough.
But trust me, you'll pay the penalty with nokia..... I mean, why in the pictures with the mini cooper hoods does the N73 picture is there so much light???? I'd want to believe the road is black not like what N73 showed us
i am still looking all the photos taken by the 3 phones and i am trying to understand how some people say than SE phone take better ones. hellooooooooo!!!! nokia overwins those cheap useless phones. and lukas, don't compare screens because you can't understand some things. nokia makes today the best displays, compared to any other phones.
hey guys i have to say that the n73 used by the gsmarena team hasn't got the latest firmware on it. out of curiosity i snapped 5 minutes ago some pics of different yellow objects(a shirt,my sony walkman etc...) ant they aren't so horrible like the ones in the shootout.also the other range of colors has been corrected. i have firmware 3.0649.0.0.1. you might try yourselves and see(obviously owners on n73's). although i don't guarantee same results
This is a funny one guys. Do you want me to prove that GSMarena being picky to Nokia?
Take a look at this samle
http://i.gsmarena.com/ii/reviewsimg/5mpvs3mp/crops/gsmarena_crop011.jpg
And read what Gsmarena wrote about it. OK, i quote it for you
"LG KG920 shows good results here, you can see the resolution advantage in the crops. Both K800 and N73 shows also good results for their class, but look at the purple color between the branches in the Nokia N73 photo - maybe this sharpness comes at a price?'"
In another words, they prefered no to mention obvious green color in LG, Pink+violet color in K800, and focused on much less visible purple on N73 pic. This is very dissapointing..
1. nokia (sharp and nice colors, the first page alll the pics indoors the pictures look like they should don't have a blue thing)
2. Sony ericsson pictures are blurry, and it show a blue thing and its out of contrast.
3. LG nice pictures but like SE blurrty shows blue thing inside and outdoors a yellow one.
@me
Where do you see Sony Ericsson taking sharper pictures? Seems like you didn't pay attention for samples too or maybe it's time for new glasses? :)
Take a carefull look at radiator grille
http://i.gsmarena.com/ii/reviewsimg/5mpvs3mp/crops/gsmarena_crop008.jpg
N73 is best here too.
@Bling
Did you even bother to look at samples?
For example, take a look here
http://i.gsmarena.com/ii/reviewsimg/5mpvs3mp/crops/gsmarena_crop007.jpg
Those stripes on Mini shoud be white, not grey
Here
http://i.gsmarena.com/ii/reviewsimg/5mpvs3mp/crops/gsmarena_crop009.jpg
Those arches are not yellow (LG), not pink (Sony Ericsson), they are more white, funny how gsmarena guys keeps repeating that only K800 gives accurate colors..
here lg wins without a question.only drawback is the yellow tint.the n73 shows a high saturation in photos(hurts to admit because o own one :|),while se has sharper images.
nokia has an advantage over se because they admit their flaws in phones and provide users with the ability to update the phone @ home.nokia makes reliable phones.it's hard to kill one.se makes fragile phones.if you don't take care of them they die quickly(a friend of mine has a k 800i and in two months he went to the service 3 times to fix the joystick).also it's a pain in the a** to update it's firmware;you have to take it tho the service or you might terminate it's existance trying at home.other than that stop posting off topic comments.this a photo contest not a phone quality contest or a bug count.in the 5 mp category the winner is the lg - being the only one tested (possibly winner till the n95 appears, who knows? :P).in the 3 mp category both phones share the same place (each has it's own drawbacks )

what aboat 6230 screen vs k700 screen(same range)
k700 still has a great screen
i dont like the n73,because its like a toy(cheap plastic,very sensitive)

How can you allow suvh comments, gsmarena ?
It's pity that kindergarden begins to have internet. Amount such comments is goning to increase... :(
keep up the Excellent work SONY Ericsson
I tried the K800i an o.k the pictures in the dark with the flash look alot more brighter than My N73 but the only downside of the K800i is the sliding lens cover it can easily slide down without you knowing it an make the camera work when in your pocket an the joystick was like K750i so returned it an got the N73 the photos in daylight are brilliant an are alot better than the K800i,Nokias got to improve it flashes now on it mobiles to really get better pictures taken in dark or dim light, the screens is clear the buttons should have been made a little larger but the speakers show the K800i up as they are really loud an the N73 was the right choice for me an has alot more functions an software thanks Nokia bring out the N95 to see if its photos are better i bet Ericsson,Samsung an Motorola will be trying to create a mobile to compete with the N95
Q Bling
Honestly my point of view,k800 really take good pictures then n73.But we cant compare k800 with n73. both phones are diff functional.k800 is a cam phone w/o OS.and for n73 is a cam phone with OS just like a pc.
how to compare those 2 phones eh?
Important point is,if someone really a photo shooter then he should consider k800 for taking better pictures.Meanwhile for ppl who like to feel they are holding a pc on hand then go for n73 and a pc that still can take nice pictures althou can't compare to k800.
@ Rus
Nokia is cheating here. This isn't an excuse put its the truth. Nokia is showing you something that doesn't exist. The cube wasn't that yellow etc etc etc etc.
Question Rus. If you have a washed out yellow shirt. You snap Pictures with a K800i and N73. The picture with the N73 makes the shirt loook like when it was bought (bright) K800i makes the shirt look like it is (washed out yellow)
Which is the better camera?
The one that shows you what you wanted to see? Or
The one that shows you what you saw?
Fake vs reality? who wins?
'oversaturation', 'mask' = are extremely lame excuses for Sony Ericsson. You hold in your hand two pictures, one is beatiful, very sharp and REAL, has colors, the other one is blurry and has washy colors, how can latter be more real? How can blurry picture be more real then sharper one? Is this a joke or what? Nokia's drawbacks are extremely far fetched in this review, while K800, which has much more drawback, is glorified..
Why not talk about UNDERSATURATION of K800 and its worse lens? I doesn't matter, why and how pics of N73 are better, it only matters that K800 can't keep up.

@Blingblingthing
I'm sorry but what looks better, is better and more real. This is exactly what i'm taliking about, you are making up stupid excuses for Sony Ericsson too, K800 pics are not sharp enogh, they are blurry and washed out in comparison to N73, and yet you call that crap 'reality', this is not that kind of reality i want.
We are not robots, so which pictures look better to human eye, are in fact better and your "reality" is totally subjective thing.
