My Hi-Fi, fridge, microwave oven, computer monitor, and DVD rom in the computer are all LG.
I'm not really a fan of Samsung but no doubt Samsung makes excellent hardware, it's just their software that create some problem. Between this two promising phones, i'd still go for the Galaxy S6 (www.samsung.com/sg/galaxy/galaxys6/galaxy-s6/) though I think Sony Xperia Z3+ (www.sonymobile.com/) can also join this rivalries.

I guess... moreMost people's opinion of choice is based on the S6 not having an SD slot or being able to remove the battery. Or on buggy devices of either device. Most people will like the way the S6 works better
Nothing beats those old phones where you flip the cover, pull the antenna and talk like a boss. Motorola StarTac, anyone?

over-all samsung is the best phone in the market.
i have use both galaxy s6 and LG G4 ,samsungs galaxy s6 is much higher then LG G4

Depends if I have enough money saved by August. I've read a heard a lot more good things being said about the G4 than bad things. The last phone I had which took decent pics was the Nokia Lumia 900, and that had an 8mp camera, but it still took awesome pics, so I'm really looking forward to the G4.

The S6 has terrible battery life in real world use, and only ... moreReading your comment made me laugh so much. What a load of nonsense you just wrote, the S6 battery is fantastic that I can get upto 3 days usage from. I've never had a smart phone that has done that before. I don't think I've ever read so much rubbish from an obvious fanboy. Reading your comment makes me certain you have never owned the phone at all. No go crawl back in your hole.

I have the 85mm f1.8 lens, just a splendid lens with amazing bokeh and the 15-85mm for general purpose. Likewise, I can't afford the G4 at the moment (buying cash), have to wait until end of the year. I have been having a go with my colleagues G4 with the brown leather back, the one I want, and have to say it's not as thick as some suggest, and I have no problem with the build quality (being a previous owner of Z1 and Lumia phones). The out of focus issue reported by some might have been due to continues auto focus, I noted a bit of focus hunting when you not keeping the phone stable, will have to play around a bit more with the auto/manual focus settings as well as subject tracking.

Her dad bought it for her as a present, and she is also very much into photography. And she's also interested in the G4. At the moment, she can't afford to get a G4, so I'll be getting her one on contract in the next few months.
Saurav Ghosh, 24 Jun 2015Yes, LOL, to what extent? Suddenly the 'only' plus point of G4 is getting all the affection, l... moreNo, a camera is not the only thing to go for in a phone. There's an article on Android Central where Phil Nickinson explains why he would rather have a G4 than an S6. And there's a YouTube video which gives 12 reasons why the G4 is better than the S6 Edge - I couldn't find a video stating why the G4 is better than the S6, but the S6 is very similar to the S6 Edge. Of course, there is also a YouTube video which gives 12 reasons why the S6 Edge is better than the G4, but I'm not a fan of Samsung, I can't stand Samsung, and I'm not an LG fanboy either. I would just like companies like Nokia and LG to be at the top of the mobile market.

The plus points far outweigh the negatives...I still question taking landscape photos with a fixed aperture wide open lens like we see on modern day smartphones, where f8-f22 is your preferred range for outdoor scenes, another plus of the SLR lens is the variable aperture. Anyway, it's tough to squeeze everything you can possibly want into a small package.

What else is there other than the camera in a mobile phone, I wonder?
IPhone 6 is better than s6 & g4. if you want an android phone HTC m8/m9+ is better than s6 & g4. s6 battery is terrible. g4 it underperforms even g3 is better than g4.
Winner: LG G4. The higher resolution captures more detail, which is most important for quick selfies. There's also a hand gesture that lets you snap a selfie without reaching for the key.
The Galaxy S6 can capture you and your friends (a groupie), especially with the Wide selfie mode.
Samsung s6 also a hand gesture....
