Hi,
I bought C4 recently, 2 issues with the phone, screen goes off after call and people are not able to listen me during phone, problem with the microphone.so I have to talk loud on the phone.
Is it software or hardware issue?
Dason, 25 Jul 2015Just bought C4 (5363 version) day before yesterday to replace my HTC One E8 dual sim; one stan... morelg g4 beat or g4 stylo are better.
xperia c4 has poor battery and poor camera
Why put such a low amp charger in the box if the battery is always needing to be charged... Me being a nexus 5 user can see this xperia always being plugged into the wall... At least we get a decent charger though. And why is it always the same with the volumes being low on the music players when you've got a perfectly good speaker judging by the ringing volume. Need a Sony Xperia to bring back that loudness that the live Walkman (wt19i/wt19a) had. That phone still gives any of today's phones serious competition in the audio department.
Just bought C4 (5363 version) day before yesterday to replace my HTC One E8 dual sim; one stand out feature - its got lte 4g/4g for sim1 & sim2 + sd card slot. This is an important feature and a purchase decision which GSM Arena has failed to mention. Perhaps their test unit is different from mine.
Having said that, Nokia's 640 windows and Samsung's A7 too offer dual sims. BUT, A7 doesn't allow for two sims + sd card. You either insert two sims or one sim and a sd card.
Sony wins hands down with this knockout punch at Samsung.
Price: Acceptable for all its features and the Sony brand (you have to spend twice as much for an iphone - why???).
Screen quality & brightness: Great!
Colors: Great - nit pickers will never be happy no matter what they get.
Browser / CPU: occasional lag in accepting commands but otherwise great
Call quality / dialing: Good, doesn't drop calls - not even in elevators. Wish the dialer had a search function instead of having to click on contacts for looking up numbers.
UI: As always - Sony
Speaker Quality: Average but acceptable (at least not tinny)
Music experience: Headphones dependent, volume wise could be better. Perhaps an aftermarket amp booster or equalizer can sort that out.
Camera/s: Casually tested at purchase. However, having used htc prior to buying C4, I wont be disappointed with Sony's expertise with cameras.
Gaming: not my cup of tea, have never gamed ever.
Battery life & charging: Haven't put the phone through heavy use as yet, but so far, the battery sees me through my browsing, business calls, chats, emails, some business pictures, bluetooth connected music and unnecessary on and off. Around 6-8 pm, I consider refilling the tank, to be able to enjoy Chromecast after dinner. Standby time is great, and stamina mode should offer more mileage through the day.
Overall size: Handfull (but so are all other 5.5 phones), much more but pocketable than an iphone. Slightly less taller than an iphone +. width and dept about the same.
Build Quality: Yes plastic, but doesn't feel cheap - more on the premium side. Sony on it gets peoples envy.
VERDICT: Bought one for my brother too ... Go for it guys! you don't need to break the bank to have it.
I was play the Sims freeplay & Angry Bird Epic for 40 minutes. It feels a little hot. :( . I hope Sony will bring the solution
To bad about the battery , otherwise I think the phone looks very nice .
I own this phone and yes, the worst part of this phone is the battery, it drain so fast, i hope the next update will fix its battery life
Great phone I love it. Sony is the simply best
Nothing good has left for Sony.
Every specs from the battery and design to the camera is average or mediocre.
Sony unfortunate lost its all uniqueness
have been using this phone for 3 weeks and to compare with C3:
- C4 has much brighter and crisp screen. C4 at ~35% brightness (my setting right now) is even brighter than C3 at 100%.
- better camera (both front and back) but quality is only average.
- much faster cpu, bigger internal memory and more RAM.
If you set brightness at 30-35% and turn on Stamina mode then battery will not be a problem. I use dual sims and can easily survive 1 day.
Sony C4 top notch of Selfie Cells!
why do the cameras of sony's mid-rangers perform better than the those of the high end ones? the m4 aqua also has better camera samples here. they're even better than the samples for the lg g4 and around as good as those of the galaxy s6 and nokia's top end phones.
it`s a good phone and about the battery life as they say in the review they test every phone on a brightness of 50% and that isn`t doing the C4 any favors cause it has one of the brightest displays, I think they should test the phones on the same amount of nits instead of percentage and that might not help the C4 a lot but it does a little and it`s simply more fair and clearer.
Sony phone without omni balance. No thanks sony.
On some markets Samsung A7 has Exynos 5430 instead of SD615.
Finallyyyyy, its here.
Ok, lets start reading it now.
I remember the time when sony (ericsson) excels in features like camera and audio. Don't know what happened to them.
waiting for others to comment gps... especially waze app.
