For me the issue is this.

Samsung always comes up with a lure, a nice looking phone with great features. One good enough, that despite how much I like my iPhone - with its smoothness, ease of use and build quality, I always tend to end up trying out a Samsung.

The thing is, I always end up learning a lesson. I forget that rubbish where I can't instal anything even though I have room on my phone, but I have to transfer apps to other parts of the drive.

Or how I miss the butter smoothness of safari. But for me, the big hitter, is this.

There support. Samsung has the worst after sales support ever. After you have bought it - you might honestly never get an update.

I have a Samsung galaxy s5, and in Australia the officially released phones only got lollipop a few months ago - international models got it a year ago !! I was so over kit Kat that I went and bought an iPhone 6 (small). Yes I miss some things like the swappable battery and the memory card, but my iPhone is so much reliable. Even the accessories are nicer. I have a Note 3 also, still not updated to lollipop in Australia!!! Never again will I be burned I don't care how good the specs.

I will get an iPhone 6S plus on contract now. Is it better? For me, it is.

If you thought that getting rid of the 128GB option AND removing micro sd cards was bad.... In Australia (and several other countries) they are only releasing the 32GB version. NOT GOOD ENOUGH SAMSUNG.

I have owned all 4 previous Notes and the S2 but won't be buying Samsung again till this is fixed.

(cloud storage isn't good enough in countries with patchy mobile data networks and high data costs).

I've used note four before but note 5 is a notch ahead because of the user interface, screen, battery etcetera. This is the best phone I've used to date period

AnonD-77443, 25 Sep 2015Not only has Samsung removed the Micro SD card they are only selling 32GB GN5s that are compat... moreThe 64GB version is rare to the most of the World. India had to have some limited edition of 64GB version pre-orders.

The reason why I got myself a 128GB micro SD card this month, seeing that there likely will be no new Galaxy Note variant with a memory expansion, I'm staying with my Note 3 that has a micro USB 3.0 for fast data transfer with my laptop's SSD.

Not only has Samsung removed the Micro SD card they are only selling 32GB GN5s that are compatible with the Australia networks (64GB elsewhere).... WTF .... WTF... WTF!!!

I have owned all the previous 4 Notes but the run has stopped at the GN4. The GN4 will last another 12 months, if the storage issues aren't fixed with the GN6 i'm forced to go elsewhere :-(

Without expandable memory it looks too costly a device, be it Note5 or S6plus and prices of these two.

mj23, 29 Aug 2015Samsung tries to pull this strategy. Remember iphone 4 with metal sides and glass screen on fr... more"And then they will put back the sd card expansion"
Yes, of couse. as soon as there are memory controllers supporting BOTH eMMC and UFS. For now it's either or. UFS is faster, but means no SD, since it needs the old, slow standard.

Samsung Note 5 (54K) has minor upgrade in build and design in comparison to Note 4. On top of it Note 4 (39K) is 15 K cheaper in India.
I was planning to buy Note 4 but guess what ... Samsung has stopped selling note 4 in India which is strange. When Note 4 was launch that time Note 3 was readily available. It clearly means that Samsung is very much aware that there is minimal diff between Note 5 and Note 4 and to boost Note 5 sales they have stopped Note 4 production and sales while Note 3 is still available in their inventory :)

As a big fan and long time user I am very disappointed by samsungs lack of balls. Note is the best of what android has to ofer and they just went and copied that POS apple. No removable battery, no sd card...well f.u back to you sammy. I am sure that note5 is a beast...but it's just a slightly better version of note4 (witch is the best phone ever) minus features that made note phone a note. Just buy note 4 ad an sd card and enjoy until samsung gets some sense and makes a phone for its users and not sheeps. And what's with that "premium design" nonsense...this phone costs serious money...yeah just use it without case and keep calm. I take protection over design any day.

My opinion is , beside some fancy stuffs solely from Note 5, in this moment the NoteEdge should still be the most user friendly phone. If you could get one at a lower price, NoteEdge would still be the current best choice.

I'm an avid samsung user have every s model and note model samsung has really fell off on this s6 and note 5 disign first off no expandable sd slot and built in battery wow. I feel like I'm buying an I-phone ..... sd slots and removable battery is what separates the androids from apple I feel this is a huge draw back I will continue using my note 4 and s5 as long as possible cuz that have fell off with the s6 and note 5 disign ... as a super user rooted I'm disappointed

Note 4
rooted custom rom
128 gig sd
8500mah zero lemon battery

S5
rooted custom rom
