And for those who thinks 4 / 8 CPU-cores isn't needed on a smartphone, you should read this and understand that the 'big.LITTLE' CPU architect that is used in the Galaxy S6 series and the Note 5 isn't about maximum performance. Read this to understand that there are tons of benefits to have a 4 or 8 core CPUs.
And this was written at the end there: Clearly Android apps are able to take advantage of multi-core processors and big.LITTLE allows the scheduler to pick the best core combination for the current workload. If you still hear people saying things like 'but a smartphone doesn't need 8 cores' then just throw your hands-up in despair, as it means they don't understand Heterogeneous Multi-Processing and they don't understand that big.LITTLE is about power efficiency and not overall performance.
And to add something to that aswell, then i can say that if you really want to have a serious multitasking / multiwindow capabilities on your smartphone or tablet, you can't use a CPU with just 2 cores. There will be alot of limitations for the multitasking with just 2 CPU-cores.
So please enjoy your dual-core CPU on your iPhones with alot of limitations while we with 4 and 8 CPU-cores can enjoy whatever app without worrying about any limitations.
AnonD-362866, 02 Oct 2015how does touch and hold measure the amount of pressure in a TAP? genius? geez you guys should ... more3d touch calls more or less context menu, on android, inside apps you can do same.. trough its not in launcher ! its only simplified version but it`s also updated, like 3d touch can do more then touch & hold but it`s doing mostly same in some context... while u talk like a "WISE" be careful that fool didn`t beat u
darklord, 02 Oct 2015seriously, you guys dont know about iphones. its simple, fast, and future proof. 6s is the fas... moreYeah but you're also limited to doing what Apple handfeeds you. Where's the freedom and liberty in that? I'm not having a go at the iPhone it's just not what some people, like myself, want from a phone. I don't like Apple telling what I can do with my processing power. You have the best cores on the market and nothing to really utilise them with. At least on Android you can use emulators and play whatever damn files you choose.
Neutral user, 02 Oct 2015My question for you is if there is any point in having QHD resolution since the human eye does... moreYou are forgetting one important thing. There is a difference from seeing pixels to seeing things sharper and clearer.
Yes, when the PPI gets over 300, then you normally can't see the pixels while holding the smartphone at a normal distance. But the thing that you and many others are forgetting is that even though it get's harder to see the pixels the higher the PPI gets, it wont stop the displays from getting sharper and clearer the higher the PPI gets.
Infact, you have to go up to around 900 PPI before the sharpness starts to fade off. You should read this: http://www.cultofmac.com/173702/why-retina-isnt-enough-feature/
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 4. Both of the screens on my phones here makes the iPhone 6S Plus screen to look like a joke. It's a pretty noticeable difference in the sharpness and overall quality on the S6 edge+ and Note 4 screen to the iPhone 6S Plus screen.
Dev, 02 Oct 2015the cost of iphone 6s plus is $230 , it include everything, they r selling it @ $750 . count t... morewow, that's a lot of profit then. i can't with Apple right now, they know they already established themselves in smartphone industry since the success of iPhone 4, so after that, they only give their bare minimum specs (much less innovation) for their iPhones and selling it with more expensive price...
seriously, you guys dont know about iphones. its simple, fast, and future proof. 6s is the fastest and the best phone ever. samsung, sony, lg all lag even with 4gbs of ram. Ios works perfect even with 1gb ram. Lol then why they should put 4 core processors when their 2 core processor is smoking 8 cores in benchmarks. get a life andriod losers. appreciate what they have achieved and use iphone then comment ;)
I am using Note 4 for everyday use (mainly business) and iPhone 4S as my "weekend" phone... Now I will put away my 4S (would never sell it) and buy iPhone 6 64 GB.
For me, 6S really isn't worth it, only thing I will be missing is Al series 7000 housing... But one fine case will compensate that...
Regards to all fanboys, no matter which side :-)
Rjay007 , 02 Oct 2015There are only 2 things apple has going for them, their low specd screen and optimised softwar... moreFor once, check the off-screen tests benchmarks.
Spoiler alert: A9 throws everything in the benchmark out of the water. PowerVR GPUs on
iDevices have been historically kicking butt.
Fachry, 02 Oct 2015The 750p (so called retina resolution) is outdated already. It looks good but not great. I'd f... morenaaahhh... in normal distance retina display is adequate already, its not like u starring ur phone or watch movie on it all day long like u do on TV, thats why i dont mind TV has better ppi than a phone..
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2015Lol, iPhones aren't that expensive. If you truly believe that then you are the poor one.If your gonna reply do so in context, he said that he used a cheap Chinese phone...
whew il wait for the i7. ive got tons of troubles with this brilliant ios9 ! wtf!
I don't care what you're all arguing about (I use Android but have no prejudice against iOS, I just prefer a more open and free platform) but 16GB as a starter option in the price catergory is ridiculous. As they stated many, many times 4K video and live photos will make it increasingly harder to manage and juggle your apps/photos/etc. The fact that the 16GB variation of the previous generations proved to be insufficient in the long run has fallen on deaf ears ('give me dat monies' deaf ears). It's a completely redundant product. The 64GB is at least more sensible.
Neutral user, 02 Oct 2015My question for you is if there is any point in having QHD resolution since the human eye does... morejust so you know i can see the pixels on the crappy iphone screen no problem
See, That price is still lower than what iphone 6s will have. And being a android in its pure form, one will have advantage even with those hardware in nexus 5x. It will be updated for next 2 years for sure. And their camera will suppose to have much better quality this time. Price difference is also great, 699 for iphone 6s and 480 for 5x; both in euro for base model. i am using nokia 808 and blackbery passport.
AnonD-362866, 02 Oct 2015Previous reply didnt get posted for some reason. So I'll just say: "stick to your cheap stuff" :)Lol, iPhones aren't that expensive. If you truly believe that then you are the poor one.

I really hope that someday even one android company finally can make great android phone which makes those android users finally happy about their choice, this thing is going more and more ridiculous every year.
Why these insecure android users care so much about iPhone and it's users. Why don't you guys spend time on android news? Oh wait no-one care about those so you guys come to whine in Apple news because you guys are jealous because iPhone is the thing which eveyone want to talk about
