There are software teams (composed of people who are being paid!).
Although their brand is one of the most valuable in the world you still see ads and other marketing tactis (which cost a lot of money).
Foxconn and other factories the assemble the phones do not work for free for Apple and lets not forget the planes or ships that distribute the phones all over the world.
Everyone that writes about this topic ALWAYS compares the components total price to the final shelf price. And after comparing they make judgments.
I'm not saying that at the end they don't add a profit margin (probably one of the or the highest in the industry), but make fair judgments after analyzing all the facts! :)

Using the Apple 10w Charger while the phone is in low power mode charges blazingly fast. More advanced software? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah More advanced functions? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

AnonD-289575, 02 Oct 2015Look at resolution bro... 750p... S6 is qhd now calculate the difference... My question for you is if there is any point in having QHD resolution since the human eye does not see individual pixels at a ppi higher than ~300.
It is used by a lot of (mostly Android) phone manufacturers in order to market the phones from a specs point of view.
But although this does not actually give a real benefit to the user (at least not to 90% + of them) it obviously stresses the internal components a lot more.
At the end though, it is their choice to apply this business tactic, so they are fully responsible for the lower actual performance outcome.
