Swordylove, 08 Oct 2015Z3C seems better with still images...No way. Z5C trumps the Z3C camera.
link to the article or "forum"or you are lying...as always and typical of samsung. congrats on the increase in sales, and your usual pay from them.
I just wonder that there is not a single word about overheating and consistency of performance given the bad reputation of the processor versus Sony's heat pipe solution. It had been informative if you had investigated this part.
You have superb solution. With just 2 big cores, will it perform as in Snap 808?
Glad to know I'll be happy sticking with my Z3C for this generation. The Z5C has great improvements, but not enough to entice me. That somewhat reduced battery endurance is also a bit of a bummer. Maybe the Z6C (and SD820 combo?) will bring back some of the power usage improvements seen in the Z3C.
And dxomark says this particular sensor from the new sony lign up is the number one right now in overall quality? Give me a break. That review site must be the filled with top notch liers.
I bought the iPhone 6s instead, it's a great phone but there are too many little issues I have which annoy me personally.
Why you guys keep saying "superb build quality" for a phone which's outer material is glass? Glass is fragile as heck! Please try to be practical when saying that, noticing that a lot now. What is build quality? If build quality is measured by just looking at a phone, then keep that saying, but if its about actually using the phone, then kindly don't say that nuisance.
Is the photo in the review title a hint for how to use the phone in real life? Always carry it like that and then put it inside a huge comfy purse? ROFL
Anyway, this phone has lesser endurance than Z3C, and the camera is still not up to the mark, and it's bigger and yet its a compact, and still 720p, what is wrong with Sony?
xvi, 08 Oct 2015I'd like to see them fit a 4.8" screen into the same sized body next time. I really don't thin... moreFitting a 4.8" display into a 127 mm tall is very difficult, almost impossible, considering all the latest and best hardware fitted in plus making it water and dust proof with 2 front facing speakers. Althou 4.7 can be achieved, with that extra width.
I'd like to see them fit a 4.8" screen into the same sized body next time. I really don't think it is too unreasonable and that 4.8" is still small enough to be used by anybody comfortably given thin enough bezels.
vrvly, 07 Oct 2015Still shots are maby better than before but not as good as note5, there is a lot of noise. Vi... moreThe note 5 is ridiculously large compared to the Z5C maybe pit it against the Z5 premium and then you may have a fair assessment.
timh87, 07 Oct 2015Glad I took the plunge and getting mine tomorrow. Strange you haven't said the iPhone 6s as it... moreYeah there is no mention of Apple at all in this review not even in the benchmarks, strange...... Z5C is a very serious rival to the 6s.
Heavier and thicker ? Who cares ?! Its good. Bad ? Sony cut spec, 2GB vs 3GB etc. Why is sooo expensive ?! Especially if we compare the prices to Z1C and Z3C when they were released. Is the screen again cracked ? Device isnt overheating ? People say...yes! Battery is not so impressive like before. Z1C had 2300mAh, Z3C 2600 mAh so Z5C should 2900mAh ;) Sony what you try do ?
dd, 07 Oct 2015Snapdragon 810is too powerhungry that is probably why 90+ endurance rating was not achieved. If you're a modder, you can turn off two of the four "big"cores and you will get a 90+ hour rating. Furthermore, if you have programs like greenify that'll reign in all those background processes like Google play services, it'll get even better. Also if you're really after battery, you can turn the big cores off altogether and it should have even better battery life than the Z3C!
