Those S series as you say it, are far far better than your beloved Sony Z series, yeah, I know you are sad, and angry, if you are a Sony fanboy you should be though.
Ask them to make a phone which will stay as it is after using it for six months or something, without the need of a case, then I might start thinking about actually looking into these. I see my colleague's Z2 once every week. It took less than a month for him to make that phone look like utter (rap, I mean those scratches on that ugly back cover, jeez!
I am completely ignoring the other negatives for the time being! Like their cameras aren't actually better than those S series or other flagships too. There is a huge problem with quality control, exactly how many Xperias got cracked just by putting it into a jean's pocket? There is also the mention of self cracking! Hilarious! Then camera quality degradation on bootloader unlocking! Those huge bezels, LOL! I can go on, but I think I have made my point. I am sorry to say even those LG phones are actually better than Sony phones nowadays, and God knows how much I hate LG.
I read quite a lot, XDA etc., not some paid off places, remember that.

Even if the person they are talking about is a Sony fan???? Just has an opinion that not everything is perfect?????
And then as soon as one starts, then another comes....Sees the sony fan said something about haters and there was samfans, and then they make a comment about it. And then another follows the line.
Then you get endless comments/pages of Sonyfans talking smack and about haters/trolls and what not.....When there was never any in the first place.....

SONY Xperia always being ... moreSo just because they are not happy with the minimal improvements, unused potential of the camera year after year, and somethings getting a little worse, and stated mostly fact...
And doing so without bashing or attacking anyone elses opinion.
You have to come in with that fanhurt response and then bring up other non related companies that had nothing to do with anything trying to turn it into a fan war.
And sorry to burst your denial but that S has always been objective better based on factual advantages.

And the reason it sounds similar is because it's always the same story. When something is consistent the reviews follow a consistent idea with them. With Sony's it's generally an aggressive processing...or lack there of.
They state plenty on where it is good and how Sony admits to there being problems themselves.
Quite simply it's a good camera and the results are great, but far from the best, from Sony's claims, far from DXOmarks rating.
What would your review consist of if you were being told it's the best even by supposed professionals, but when you test it yourself you can clearly see it's not anything like claimed?????? And while being good has many recurring issues that were supposedly remedied????
Would you just sit there and talk about how amazing it is?????

I seriously think that the Z5 series has really been given a false image of having a bad camera due to most online reviewers don't have good knowledge on camera.
I'm not saying the Z5 series has the best camera, it is definitely not, it only let down by it's not-so-great auto-mode, the result is amazing in manual mode if you how to tweak those setting. You can say it is not a casual-user-friendly camera, but saying it is bad and disappointing is simply not fair.

Has anyone tested the camera with different software that might do a better job? The included software might well be a dud but if you can still get the best images out of the hardware it still deserves a mention. Isn't it possible in Android to switch the default Camera apps anyway...?

At least it have strip can be attach, but other brands can only wear the protector case.

Also, somehow ... morethe z5 camera is good I know, but the audio is very good too, I can hear all the details of the music by earphone, if you are talking about the speakers not so, I could understand, but Z5 have dual speaker it is already enough for enjoy the music alone and the quality is good ,and it is waterproof, you no need to worry about water or rain to ruin your device or your mood.

And it's the same with every sony review here. You'd think they're all the same camera as they get all the same amount of criticism from the reviewers, and i reckon there should be a difference. I mean you'd think the camera on the Z5 is just as good as the one on the M2.
