This isn't gonna sell in UK at over £400 - although it's a good looking phone you can pick up LGG4 for £320 and Galaxy S6 for £380 on Amazon uk and both of those are flagship specs - the A9 is just a mid-ranger.
Price it around £300 and it might have a chance, But as thugs standanother own goal by HTC

That's a plus imo. I currently own an S6, its flat back feels less secure to hold. That is why Samsung decided to go for curved back on Edge+ and Note 5 I reckon.

Huge bezel at the bottom and battery capacity are issues in otherwise a good phone. Pricing is not bad either.

AnonD-265317, 20 Oct 2015i have one m8 and it is the best android i have ever used, never lags never stops, never heats... moreIf we pick up a Samsung Galaxy flagship, the front company logo will happily greet us, just that Samsung put it above the screen.
It just sits there doing nothing other than taking up some space but it seems nobody criticizes Samsung for that. Go figure :)
Some other OEMs also do this, not just HTC and Samsung.
GSMA, did ya find the A9 heating abnormally??

What's the problem with htc's one lineup. M9 would be perfect if it has a good chipset, fast charging, fingerprint, better camera. Lack of these features in m9 is the reason of company's recent disaster. For me htc one series are the best designed smartphones ever made on earth.

With htc logo on top of home button and on screen virtual buttons, one a9 still look ugly. Htc design still sucks. They probably send their design team to learn a trick or two from their China other phone brands like Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei and Lenono so they can catch up.
Rumours, next month there will be a slight better spec One A9+ coming out, anyone?

Mid range class. With high class looks. So much quality bits and pieces for this segment.
I have a One S with S4 chip. It is a true Classic .
But I will now upgrade, I like their amoled, raw imagery and smooth processing. it is not one of the also ran other mid rangers. Doesn't matter, at the end of the day, this is a great looking and very capable phone. well done. Keep smiling
