You mean Dxomark is a liar? And all you trolling are right?
That is just nonsensical gibberish!!!!
So you can't bear negative comments regarding Sony??????.....well welcome to the real world pal!!
If Sony deserve criticism, then that's what they'll get on an open forum such as this, if you disagree with that criticism, then that's where discussion comes in, it is not, I repeat NOT trolling!

As far as Sony fans are concerned, things started out perfect and have just gotten better over time.
And now they have the DXOmark test results to bash people over the head with very time. Now I respect DXOmark for what it does, and am sure (based on their results) that Z5 camera set up is very good indeed.
But it remains the view at large in the tech world that the Sony 'Bionz' processing software, whilst improving with each iteration, still has quite severe issues, and has never represented the best the industry has to offer.

Grey1213, 03 Nov 2015Actually now that I thick about it, the z5 premium can switch resolutions, so it would be nice... moreIt remains to be seen how effective this switching is. And what kind of impact there may be in terms of performance and battery life in the instances where the Premium is using it 4k capabilities
I maintain that this is nothing more than market one-upmanship: 'they have a 2k display so we'll get a 4k one'
I argued pretty much the same thing upon the launch of the G3, and still think 2k is beyond necessity. Even when I bought my G4 I wished it had come with a 1080p panel instead, mainly because even though I am not a die hard mobile gamer, I do like the odd mobile gaming jaunt. and though I struggle to make out increased clarity offered by 2k over 1080p on such small screens, I am quite perceptive of frame rates. And poor frame rates bug me to no end!!!!
At 2k all modern mobile GPU's struggle, yes they can render at lower resolutions and then upscale, but that is only an approximation of the higher resolution and hardly worth the effort.
And yes you are right, 2k and beyond will have benefits in regards to mobile VR, but as I have yet to see any clear evidence that this nothing more than a fad at this point, I go back to my original argument.
Dual heatpipes, 03 Nov 2015Is my word HARD to understand? You can ask ppl go and test himself but don't just given negati... moreActually yes, your words are hard to understand.
But again the basic gist of what you are trying to say is: do not have a negative opinion of a 4k display.
I'm sorry but you don't get to tell people what you think their opinions must be, in attempting to do so it is you who could be considered a troll.
Personally I do not plan to buy any smartphone from any manufacturer that has a 4k display, and that includes Apple. Not at least until I'm as sure as I can be that the rest of the hardware and the ecosystem has caught up enough to adequately support it.
And again personally I believe we are 2-3 product cycles form such support, most modern SOC's still struggle with 2k content to at least some degree, and battery technology is hardly in a better position.
I will flip the argument you are trying to make back to you though, if it were anyone else other than Sony which had launched a device with a 4k display, then I am pretty sure you and those like you would be shouting to heavens that it was nothing more than a marketing stunt, and in no way necessary.
I back that up by the fact that all the while LG and Samsung were launching phones with 2k screens, you Sony fans were repeatedly quite vocal in questioning the need for higher than 1080p displays in mobile products, that is, right up until...you guessed it the launch of the Z5 Premium, now suddenly you've all changed you tune somewhat, funny that eh???

I think this the reason I choose Xperia smartphone. They really do the right job in all software update including the camera software. I am sure after update, it can get 3~5 more score of the Dxomark test.
The 21MP just can't compare to 23MP this is not the same level.
The other phone maker just lack of quality software update and their hardware is limit due to the sensor 21MP only.

Their 20 mp camera is not that good. Now their 4k display which I think such a waste. They need to know that it's not just about a huge number to put on. It's about 'balancing'.

If a 10x smaller screen is 10x closer, then the higher resolution is just as useful (assuming you value resolution the same on both).
I think if Samsung or Apple do the 4K display for smartphone a lot of their fans will crazy praise they are genius (I finally know what is marketing) but it is too late...hahaha...
Ale, 02 Nov 2015In reality people claim to notice the difference, whether they do or to what degree is an issu... moreAll the reviews I saw said the galaxy s6's screen is undisputably better (but this is more tham just resolution) than the iPhone 6s when put side by side. But you're right in saying the utility is marginal, most find the lower resolution satisfactory, and I'm pretty sure most would prefer it over lower performance. But when it comes to performance they both run at 100%, given that their bleeding edge, so the only benefit comes from better display, which is something to consider. Battery life would he a concern though.
But another thing to remember is that there are a lot of people who do care about the display and it does affect buying decisions. You have to remember that for most, phones do everything they want it to, in reality people do choose which to buy over things like the display, the same way they choose to buy over camera, or design. Its similar to how everyone, including Apple, choose to have thinner phones over bigger batteries. In reality, the majority have very marginal utility from their phone lasting more than a day because 99% of the time they can charge it every night.
I'd love it if they gave the option of lower resolution, but given how critical people are of Samsung fragmentation its not going to happen, and I don't think its technologically possible to give the option to change it on a device.
But the difference in marketing is Apple's is far more prominent, and more importantly 'retina display' is quite frankly a lie. Apple's is the one claiming their screen is the best it gets, which is completely different to saying the screen is better when it actually is.
