Gsmarena keeps complaining about 4k recording being absent in a midrange specced phone. Have you guys realised that you're reviewing a midrange device?

AnonD-404798, 02 Feb 2016good point there....but only if you are willing to risk buying phone like ''Xiaomi'' and you don't count the risk of buying a 400 euro phone with mid-low range chipset?
i'd rather lose $106, rather than waste $436 for an expensive junk like this phone.

Why didn't they just use the sd801 a la OP X? It's an excellent sub-flagship chip nowadays.

S615 is midrange at best. Ruins an overall good package. S615 uses clusters of 4 cores so basically it isn't really faster than a S410 cause it's not a "true" octa core. S617 in a9 is 30% faster and Samsung should use at least that one...(actually it should use 650). And the exynos with Mali t720 will be a joke too, performance wise.

in my opinion M5 is awesome deal compared to A5 because of faster chipset, better camera, more storage,IP68 rating and design....really nothing impressive in A5(2016) besides improved build quality...

but I would always recommend to go with some of the flagships...from my personal experience even flagship from last year is much better option than newer midranger....

For the price SD615 is a disgrace. It should've got the Snapdragon 650, I'd buy one right away. 2014 flagships or 2015 Huawei P8/Honor 7 have identical pricetag and they're simply faster. Dear Samsung, that's why you're loosing money.

Exynos 7580 is basically as fast as SD615. Or should I say - they're equally slow combined with FullHD display.

So basically Samsung is trying to sell cheap bear for a price of Champagne. Considering there is so much of competition our in the phone market, I don't think this phone would have any great success.

dev, 01 Feb 2016No wonder Samsung is losing market share. Where I live this is as expensive as a Meizu Pro... moreYeah, other than the FACT that all those are cheap crap, no one gives a damn about where you live either!

Anyway, this is a midrange phone and it has DeltaE of 1.2, nothing to say, just nothing.
