Amoled is an advantage because I wont use... moreThe point you are missing here is Note 4 or any other Amoled phone didn't have the flexible screen of the Note Edge or S6/S7 edge. The flexible screen is new tech and in my personal experience it has very short life span.
Anonymous, 26 Feb 2016thats just a lie, i have note2/3/4 and s5 till now, no burn!! all off them day one purchase Samsung has really succeeded in making Amoled almost Burn in free after S2. I had no butn in issue in S3, S4 and S5 but my S6 edge's screen is burnt in awfully just after a couple of months use. I am not sure if S7 Edge's screen will be any longer lifetime.
Anonymous, 26 Feb 2016Seeing more light than is in the scene itself is bad. That means it is artificial.
The S7 c... moreno . this show us that g5 can take more light than s7.. all is this.
artificial ??really?? are u blind or smoking something?? look at yellowish shots of s7 .. look.

In fact, AMOLED screen is a disadvantage, because all AMOLED screens have are going to burn in and they have shorter lifespan than LCD.
It is woderful to be able to listen to the radio. My G4 has really good stereo separation and fidelity using only the phones as aerial. Further I can plug it into my hifi at home using an RCA plugs to miniplug adaptor as feed and aeroal and record it and listen at the same time. You cannot do that with a Samsing phone at all.
And even in midecember low light at noon in the shafe in the UK its results from Raw Dng files at 50 iso contain as much detail as those from a 1Ds Canon mk 2. As an expro photographer I was staggerred by its results, only betterred by the 808 Nokia.
At parties and in pubs etc use the flash, u simply cannot expect decent results, though department store lighting is great on the LG at 50 iso.
vladimir, 26 Feb 2016I would prefer S7 over G5 because of more compact size and better battery. But I am a bit disa... moreyou should with until g5 release and hold it in your hands and next you will decided that is compact or not.

The S7 captures the dark scenes more accurately.

I see more lights in g5 images than s7..s7 shots looks really darker than g5 .. I don't know why gsmarena think that is good in darkness...
g5 shots is really wider than s7 shots..
aspect ratio in s7 is 4:3 that really abnormal .. I don't like that..
come on gsm .. wake up .. be honest with us ..
Neither is an improvement. The S7 uses tiny sensor, half the size of a 2010 nokia N8s which is also 4:3 and 12MP . The G5 is fine in low light you simply reduce shutter speed and shoot raw. The LG is widescreen at 16 mp, far better for photography except headshots.
Additionally the LG has a radio. It records hifi off the radio, and if setup like a V10 , also records 4k video with an infinitely variable frame rate and manual shutter control. If I am wrong, and the video is aitomatic like the G4 buy the V10 instead as it has everything with a built in hifi dac and radio.Samsung is an image brand like the iPhone. Its for jpeg people as their jpeg engine and panorama are superior to LGs.
Love both but for the body design reason I bought S7, deliver 8 Mar
svizac69, 26 Feb 2016Does anyone of you know which image sensor does G5 use? Can't find it anywhere on the net.Sony. Same camera in the G4
Ugh, this is definitely the most difficult choice I've had to make for a phone purchase. To me waterproof/dust proof isn't a really big deal to me as I don't have the tendency to wet my phone often, and I don't go to the beach much. My environment isn't very dusty either. Battery life, whatever 7% isn't going to make a HUGE difference for me, but it's nice to be able to swap batteries if neccesary. Quick battery charges kind of make the battery size issue, a non-issue for me. Don't care about curved screens, it's gimmicky to me, 5.1" and 5.3" is not a big difference either. One key thing I like about the S7 is the low light performance. I don't mind not getting DSLR performance from a cell phone camera, it's not suppose to happen, but bad low light pictures really suck. I don't think the G5 is TERRIBLE at this, but from the pictures shown here, the S7 is clearly better at this. The modular area is intriguing, though I'm not CRAZY about the modules LG has yet. The extra 1200mAh the camera module provides is kind of cool, but I rather just carry an extra battery for that. The physical buttons of camera are kinda neat, but unless this module is very cheap, I can't see myself being torn to buy it. I'm inclined to get the G5, but it's a pretty close call.
Do something about battery timings instaed of bumping up ram and processor numbers.
