actually i really like the idea... if someone isn't interested in a device, but want to have the basic overall idea about the phone, it's a great way to do so. and i think it will be to much use to fast-track users of GSMA... I would also like to suggest you to make a ranking system of the phones in library, so that we may understand the difference between previous flagships and today's midrangers
Maybe you should add screen-to-body ratio percentile too. Because bigger screen doesn't mean always better screen. Additionally considerable amount of people want smaller screens. Occasionally you can skip screen size percentile instead of screen/body ratio percentile. So we can decide without so many distracting geek numbers etc. That is my humble opinion.
First off,
OMG.
I can't believe you guys at GSMArena didn't include a Time-saver review of the Sony Xperia Z5 in your Demo list. FFS!
Everyone knows that Sony has by far the biggest Fan base Community and support here in GSMArena. And don't get me started with Sony's poll results on the Z5, or Blind camera tests.
It's just an opinion though, putting a Sony demo would've been smart for starting this. Cheers //.
Absolutely against short reviews! I would actually want to know as much as possible about a phone instead of googling dozens of pages. For example I want to know more about camera specifics like exact camera sensor model, charging time, not only battery time, and many more.
If you like short reviews, make short overviews in the beginning or end, but don't go short on information.
Excellent work there. Although it took me sometime to understand the %..
Truly timesaver. Thanks..
Its still long. Trim content explanation further. A suggestion:
1. Merge Photo+video section. Trim existing photo section length and add to it a para on video.
Also in some sections, having both percentiles and scores appears redundant. For example, in battery section, handset scoring 98 %tile indicates that its performance is best among the existing handsets. May be just have an overall score for the handset reviewed and percentiles in each section of the review
It's good 👍
A percentile for battery efficiency (endurance/capacity) Maybe useful
This is cool new thing short as much as I wanted and still covered almost all main topics. Don't expand it we love ur old review.
I like this format! Good stuff.
Hi GSMarena guys. It's great that you are always pushing to give us a better experience as users.
Just a couple of things, first the percentile rank gives an the idea of an score at first glance, that is not true because the score is below but someone less technically inclined will have the perception of a high or low score even when the reality is just the percent of devices which have the same or lower screen resolution in the case of the displays.
And last, I think that if you are going to give an score in every aspect you should give more emphasis on it, for example in the displays is more important the brightness or the viewing angles than the percentage of phones in the market with that resolution.
This new feature is a step forward, keep going guys you're doing it grate.
They are just perfect.. With size and rating... But please give the ratings out of 100 to make it easier to compare two phones of same competition... Thank you...!!
Too Good...!!!
Hope the older version of Review section will still exist...!
This "time-save" format turns out to be useless. All important information has to be accessed by opening additional pages. This is the definition of time saving for you?
The question is, when the background information will completely disappear. Your reviews will then just be a spec-sheet.
From my point of view, until before, your reviews had content, good subjective comments. Note we have a crippled piece of nothing and I have to collect all the information by opening additional oh so time-saving additional 10 pages.
Thanks for making your reviews totally obsolete.
Besides: the graphics are not even optimized for mobile view and I have to use landscape mode. So... What do you do next to make it even worse? #epicfail
it is nice and clean..but could have been more detailed..actually to be frank, I like your previous review section. and time saver review should have been some night shots, more benchmarking results like Antutu, Geekbench and GFXbench..that would be good..but dont leave your usual review section..
it's great, a little bit short in some sections though.
- maybe add more review to critical/popular sections, like for example camera and display.
- navigation menu to scroll to sections.
- i think a battery endurance rating that includes call, browsing, and video time in one image(not the graphs) like the one in full review would be nice.
Nice and perfect !👍
lek, 11 Mar 2016- yes, it's too short. I'm fine with the old format maybe. - I will get used to it. - the ne... moreit's not a new format, the original/full version will be still there.
Quite short....
Focus more on build quality, display, battery life, performance, camera and video quality,
It's very nice effective and time saving.
Great job.
i like the scores.
but detailed review is a must. someone will buy a 40000 phone and surely will not go through this review because other reviewers will do little more detailed. scores are however a good way
