I will not suggest anybody to buy Mi5. Biggest issue is heating problem. I called the call center and they told that if the battery heating will cross 50 degree then we will understand it is hardware issue. You can't even hold the phone at 44- 45 degree. Total waste of money. I had earlier used Samsung Note 2 since last 3.5 years and now repenting that why I bought this phone instead of Note 5 / 4. or even S6/7.

confused, 30 Mar 2016xperia z5 or xiaomi mi5? i really like the z5's design and they cost almost the same here,... moreMi5's software is fantastic, except for MIUI, that I'd prefer not to have. The camera app is the best I've seen, and I've used a few. The two next best IMHO are the iphone 6s and my previous Sony - the Z3. The Z5's camera app would have to be a huge improvement on the Z3's to beat the Mi5's. Having said that, Sony are really good with android (not too heavy on customisations) and would have double the battery life.

I have had the Mi5 for about a week. I love everything about it, except the battery life.
Unfortunately, I am unable to get a full day of use out of it unless it is very light usage. By comparison, my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact lasts nearly 2 days. Its REALLY hard to believe its 3,000 maH.
I have some crashes of wallpaper and MIUI seems a little heavy. The phone is still lightning fast though, but I feel it would benefit from a more Vanilla ROM. This would also help the battery life which is let down even more by the fact that MIUI doesn't seem to have a way to select 2G or 3G instead of auto 4G. In my poor reception area trying to hold on to 4G doesn't do the battery life any favours.
Conclusion great phone if you have frequent access to a charger.

But since I think I am too late for that... what did you choose to get?

Don't know y ppl are comparing it for the price it's the best fone around if u can buy s7 or iPhone u are not even required here. And for me the price is more important than anything else

If you buy from importers they already increased the price by $100, so its not worth the money to buy a mi5

Under slightly low light or facing sunlight, NO.
Mi5 front camera is not as versatile as the S7 front cam.
