The review doesn't mention whether the shortcut keys are still a feature now that the volume keys have been moved. This was one of my favourites from the G4 - turning on the camera from my pocket for quick shots.

Seb, 29 Mar 2016Amoled has some flaws; at low brightness the screen gets pink, because red needs less power... moreAmoled is controlled very well at low brightness.
All if done right. Same lime lcd. It's calibration not just the tech.

Burn in its not common. And lcd can have is own issues of dead pixels, back lighting, bleeding, and such.

Samsungs Amoled have had a mode that make them the most accurate for a long time now.
And again. Calibration. Most lcds are very actuated or have poor white balance too. And its from simple lack of calibration.
The difference is you can't change this on most like you can with Samsung.

White balance is also where they have been among the best.

They are way more overall efficient. And yes they degrade over time. But it's over long periods of time and only bit by bit.
And actually have been rapidly improving their live expectancy. They will last years with little to no degradation.

You need to get away from 2009/2010 Amoled and experience 2016 S7 Amoled

AnonD-520232, 29 Mar 2016Seriously. The quality of the camera /lens combo is terrible. Look at the edges of the frame. If you are so perceptive you should see I mean FoV. Like compare meizu pro5, Z5, G5.

I've had 4 amoled samsungs and all of them have had burn in or some other sort of screen defect. Going for the G5 because of lcd, radio and removable battery.

According to GSMArena's battery life scores, the G5 does not last as long as even the G3, which is way way down GSMArena's list, although the V10 is even worse. Pathetic, deal-killer. LG's biggest weakness is battery life and why I will never buy another LG phone until they get this right.

AnonD-519716, 28 Mar 2016I completely agree with you! S7 Edge will be my next phone! I'm currently using a Samsung A7 2... moreThat's because of an outdated processor which drains more battery, a degraded battery used for 2 years, and a less battery efficient display :P

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2016What burn in issues? I haven't experienced any burn in issues. If you ever had a plasma screen before, if you leave a static image displayed on the screen for some minutes or hours, this specific image might leave permanent ghostly outline of that image on the screen regardless you turn it off/on.

                      Anonymous, 29 Mar 2016No. Its objective. Which you prefer is subjective. What has the technical objective advantage... moreAmoled has some flaws;

at low brightness the screen gets pink, because red needs less power to be lit than green or blue. That affects the white SO BAD! that's why I stick to IPS.

it degrades, it's organic, and will get dimmer over some years, also deposit a green tint over the screen.

Good old Burn-in damages. Just like Plasma, after some months/years, some burnt images may get stuck on the screen.

Also honestly, all Amoled screens I've seen are too saturated... idk it's like, colour elements lacks white (take for example, mixing white paint to red, you get pink), it's as if, instead, you mix few white paint, red, and lots of water to get another kind of pink. haha

Which you prefer is subjective. What has the technical objective advantages is not subjective.

In terms of brightness, contrast, choice of saturation or accuracy, cool or proper white point, blacks, power consumption, space required, viewing angles, light bleed, uniformity, and such.
There is no contest. Samsungs top amoleds are leading the world.

LG phones are famous for losing more than 50% of their value with an year of launching
                                    LG G flex 2 - Launched Janurary at 650 USD - November 250USD
                                    LG G4 - Launched April 2015 at 650 USD - March 300 USD
Guess I will have to wait for an year to get it at a price, the phone is actually worth.
