Which you prefer is subjective. What has the technical objective advantage... moreAmoled has some flaws;
at low brightness the screen gets pink, because red needs less power to be lit than green or blue. That affects the white SO BAD! that's why I stick to IPS.
it degrades, it's organic, and will get dimmer over some years, also deposit a green tint over the screen.
Good old Burn-in damages. Just like Plasma, after some months/years, some burnt images may get stuck on the screen.
Also honestly, all Amoled screens I've seen are too saturated... idk it's like, colour elements lacks white (take for example, mixing white paint to red, you get pink), it's as if, instead, you mix few white paint, red, and lots of water to get another kind of pink. haha
Miserable battery!, 28 Mar 2016Checking pathetic web browsing and video playback times of G4, V10, G5, you see similar result... moreHave you contacted them or left your suggestions on their website? If they want to learn from customers, they need to take the battery life into consideration seriously when develpoing new phones, right?
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2016That's subjective. I'd probably consider a Samsung if it wasn't for Amoled. I just don't like ... moreNo. Its objective.
Which you prefer is subjective. What has the technical objective advantages is not subjective.
In terms of brightness, contrast, choice of saturation or accuracy, cool or proper white point, blacks, power consumption, space required, viewing angles, light bleed, uniformity, and such.
There is no contest. Samsungs top amoleds are leading the world.
AnonD-416152, 28 Mar 2016Samsung fanboy trolling hereResponding with facts to coments of denial from famboys is being the fanboy? I dont think so
LG phones are famous for losing more than 50% of their value with an year of launching
LG G flex 2 - Launched Janurary at 650 USD - November 250USD
LG G4 - Launched April 2015 at 650 USD - March 300 USD
Guess I will have to wait for an year to get it at a price, the phone is actually worth.

AnonD-92238, 28 Mar 2016display on Samsung's flagships are better than any phonesThat's subjective. I'd probably consider a Samsung if it wasn't for Amoled. I just don't like them so have to stick to LCD.
with the design they have they could have end up with a waterproof certification
Miserable battery!, 28 Mar 2016Checking pathetic web browsing and video playback times of G4, V10, G5, you see similar result... moreI completely agree with you! S7 Edge will be my next phone! I'm currently using a Samsung A7 2016 with 3,300 battery. The battery life is way better compared to my LG G3! I only need to charge once a day, with my G3 it needs to be charged three times a day.
Lg g2, 2013, 3000 mah battery
Lg g5, 2016, 2800 mah battery
Lg you're doing well keep going
Checking pathetic web browsing and video playback times of G4, V10, G5, you see similar results. Those figures are roughly 50% of S7 Edge. I really wanted to buy this G5 and move away from Samsung but LG R&D team doesn't help at all. Do they check these test figures or NOT AT ALL!? IMHO, we are a bunch of guys who talk ourselves. Nobody listens.
OK, battery is reachable but why do we need to change battery at least once a day (G5 will be used with a cover as well; take out cover, change battery, put the cover back and repeat this cycle EVERY DAY!)?
I am totally disappointed!
AnonD-519716, 28 Mar 2016Pathetic battery life! There is still chance that not-pre-production unit will be better. Well, in LG shoud be aware of how it perform. Its not just camera/innovation awards that move customers.
