Great camera shots. Yay we can see the grass blades! They kept noise reduction down unlike in Samsung's terrible post processing (I have the S6) where grass is mushy. Same with S7.
I still feel the P9 could use better post processing. They should have used a larger sensor with bigger aperture and bigger pixels.
B&W shots are superb!
However, GSMArena should have taken some manual shots with 5secs and more shutter speed at night. The night mode is oil painting. You can see that uses max amount of noise reduction in Night mode. I want to see what the camera is capable of without that special mode. Seems like a superb camera!
AnonD-100398, 16 Apr 2016excellent design ,camera but the performance is a huge let down!”huge" is way too exaggerated!
Don't forget the P9 is still a flagship with only few shortcomings which won't affect many anyway.
Get your facts right!
FinestBezels, 16 Apr 2016Huawei is showing that Chinese companies are growing in design and quality and they are forget... moreHuawei has tight control supply chain and manufacturing/assembly process and they keep refining that process and the results are showing.
Your English is fine.
Those low-light photos tho...f%&$ing GODLIKE. SO BRIGHT as the day hasn't set down yet!
excellent design ,camera but the performance is a huge let down!
Huawei is showing that Chinese companies are growing in design and quality and they are forgetting copying others. Excuse my English my native language is Spanish
Never thought I would say this but damn the camera performance is mind blowing and not only that the design is just gorgeous...have to say I am shockingly impressed...Kudos to Huawei for this amazing piece of technology.
I am long due an upgrade & I had almost decide that I will go for HTC 10 (waiting for GSM Arena's review)but after seeing Huawei P9's review I have added this phone among my list...will rather wait for HTC 10's review & then decide b/w these two.
Detail is amazing? Shadow detail is all but non existent in the color photos and the shots arent bright at all. Disappointed in the camera.
To be honest, and this comes from a HUGE Huawei fan, the price is high, I'm waiting until April 16th so maybe something will change, prices will go down or something cause that's the date that Huawei said the phones will be on sale. On EBay the lowest i find is $665 for the gold 32GB/3GB Ram model and that's the Chinese model which i don't want. I live in the U.S so that model doesnt have enough band support for T-Mobile or AT&T. The other model is the 64GB/3GB model which i'm guessing is the international model which will work on AT&T and T-Mobile 4G LTE, only problem is that they have that in only Gold, that sucks, i wanted the Grey colored option. So is there more models then these two, and is it true the P9 Plus comes out in May 20th!? Why all the wait, that was originally what i want but don't know if i can wait that long, my P7 is so slow its a pain.
