AnonD-100398, 23 Apr 2016Keep conviencing yourself with these ideas. It will help you to buy P9.Lol Yes these videos convince me very much. Because it shows me the performance of P9 in real life. With the P9 I can play heavy 3D games smoothly. I mean, that's one of the uses of smartphone these days, right? Or do you use it just to compare and boast the benchmark scores with your friends.

You just said that a few posts ago. So no, you don't know the difference between benchmark and real-world performance, either that, or you just want to be a troll. You have made it quite obvious already. So yes, I will continue to judge you like that. You're welcome.

I very well understand what is real world performance and the benchmark performance.
However Benchmark performance does matter while buying a smartphone ,pcs ,tablets ,laptops etc & Thats a universal fact.
Again stop acting like a Extra Oversmart Person & try to understand what i am saying .Lol

Check out the performance benchmarks its no where near the compition Lol No one needs to... moreYou keep telling him to check out the benchmark scores but do you even tried to check out the videos he sent in the links. Hey guess what? We know the benchmark scores are nowhere near the flagship on the market rn but do you even understand what he's been trying to say? BENCHMARK SCORES DOESN'T REALLY SHOW HOW IT PERFORMS IN REAL LIFE. And other thing, because you probably haven't watch the videos, REVIEWS SHOW THAT THE P9 PERFORMS ABOUT THE SAME, IF NOT BETTER, COMPARING TO G5 AND S7. I personally watched a review video last night by Techmagnet in Youtube and it shows that it played Real Racing 3 without a hassle. Search it up in YouTube. Techmagnet is one of many famous reviewers in YouTube so it shouldn't be hard to find it. And before you reply anything, yeah we know the benchmark scores for the P9.
Anonymous, 22 Apr 2016what are you on about? i did not ask you for anything. You were replying to my comment on 20 Apr 2016, and that comment was in reply to a quote, where an Anonymous user accused me of not providing links for my claims.
Maybe you're not the same anonymous user, I can't tell because you're hiding your name, but if you had the courtesy to read through what you're replying to, you should know what I'm on about.

Sadly this is exactly why most phone and SoC manufacturers prioritize on benchmark performance rather than real-life performance. Most of the customers are people like you, they will never be able to grasp the idea that most smartphone benchmarks nowadays DOES NOT accurately reflect real-life performances, in games or otherwise.

As I have explained earlier, these benchmarks tend to only stress either the CPU or the GPU but never both at the same time, and therefore they do not reflect true system load during intensive gaming (which is the single most common situation for the average user to stress their phone SoCs for a prolonged period of time).

Why don't you stop repeating the same sentence and tell us exactly on which apps or games that the P9's performance was "a huge let down" compared to other flagship phones?

I'm telling you that multiple independent sources including reviewers and user reports has confirmed the same thing, and I even backed my claims with video evidence which anyone should be able to understand without knowing Chinese.
Sure, you can continue to believe that real gaming performance on the Kirin 95x is as behind as the benchmark suggests, and that all those evidences I provide were fake or fabricated because they're not from places you're familiar with. Let me tell you one thing though, just because you can't read technical analyses in other languages doesn't mean that they must be unreliable. I did not reach the conclusions I made because one unknown Chinese blogger said so, I made those conclusions after reviewing evidences and test-data provided by multiple sources and also from my own experience using the Kirin 950. Of course, if you can't read Chinese you may have to take my word for it, and you may well choose not to. I don't really mind what you believe, I just want to advise anyone who's interested in comparing these things to keep an open and critical mind about actual performance vs benchmarks and raw specs. At least keep an open mind before you could find any counter-evidence from Tom's or anandtech or whatever. In fact if you did read anandtech you'd know their comment on the Kirin 950: "the thermal performance of the Mate 8 is simply exemplary as thanks to the low power consumption of the new Kirin 950 the device is able to enjoy very high sustained performance figures", so what I said shouldn't be that much of a surprise.
Huawei is using mp4 rather than mp12 but it's clocked at 900mhz whereas 8890 is clocked at 650mhz. Huawei gaming performance seems better if you watch youtube videos of mate8 vs s7 edge. (And Note 5 is far far behind from mate 8. It's out of equation actually )
