AnonD-507785, 18 Apr 2016Wait for P9 Plus. They clearly left out some things to put them in Plus version. And that's why it has the plus moniker. Duh.
AnonD-213493, 17 Apr 2016What reality? that majority of shares huawei earns is from China?? .. The shares they earn is... moreI suggest you dig a little bit deeper for the information my friend. The only success, that Xiaomi can record for now, is in the Chinese market. And they've been surpassed by Huawei last year. Also unfortunately Xiaomi cannot compete with Huawei on the international arena, simply because they don't launch their products worldwide. Sure, you can import the phone, but if anything goes wrong, we're talking about minimum 3 months of waiting for it to return to you. And if you are in EU area, you know, that sending something abroad, with built in battery is a pain in the a$$ (which can result even in destroying the device by customs). A lot of people are being put off by that alone. Would be nice to have Xiaomi officially here in Europe though. Perhaps one day.
Kirin CPU has beaten the other flagships in benchmarks. Its just GPU where other flagships do better. The GPU has been confirmed by all reviews to work perfectly fine for high end games and hence the benchmarks scores are irrelevent to 99.99% of real world users and concern only to pre matured folks on internet wanting to show off antutu scores or worry more about numbers than actually enjoying the phone. Think about it, doesn't take a genius for Huawei engineers to have figured putting more cores into the Mali GPU like Exynos does with thrice the number of cores, but instead they chose 4 cores intentionally for a good reason. If Kirin jumped the GPU with 8 more cores, the benchmark would have crossed the Snapdragon and Exynos easily.
Huawei is on the same league as Apple and Samsung using their home made chipset for their phones unlike HTC or Xiaomi.
AnonD-100398, 18 Apr 2016Just cause I have pointed out that p9 is a slouch in performance which you did not like and no... moreNope. It only tells us, that you stuck so much on benchmark numbers, that you won't even make an effort to understand what people are trying to explain to you. That's as close minded as it gets. Fine. You like Snapdragon with Adreno. I get it. You care about a peak performance, not sustained one. I hope you'll enjoy frying bacon on your GPU. And you keep using one word - "slouch", like there are no other words in the dictionary to describe lowered performance, which tells us another thing. If anything is "slouch" here, is your learning and understanding processes (I hope you will get it, I've tried to use your favourite word). Just try to grasp the idea, that some people have different opinion, it's not a wrong one, it's just different.
AnonD-213493, 17 Apr 2016What reality? that majority of shares huawei earns is from China?? .. The shares they earn is... moreHuawei already crossed Xiaomi last year in sales in China, let alone world wide where Xiaomi is kind of non existant.

This could have been a great phone. But instead I stopped reading after seeing the battery rating. Not even worth my attention. It's a shame though..
Anonymous, 17 Apr 2016GPU is not for recording video. It's for displaying video.& He is telling me that I dont know anything about technology! LoL.what a looser he is! he he!
AnonD-468210, 17 Apr 2016Lolololololol
Why the f I'm talking to a person who doesn't knows about technology?
U win... moreJust cause I have pointed out that p9 is a slouch in performance which you did not like and now you are saying that I dont know anything abt technology.
This is what you do if someone does not agree with you .
But I guess you are doing this only to divert the topic.old trick!
But this kind of behaviour of yours tells us about your cynical attitude about everyone & also accept that you are just a poser! but Grow up man! Life is way more than being a poser ! LOL
Anyways no one needs to be a technology expert here to understand that P9 is a SLOUCH in performance if we consider flagships performance
AnonD-100398, 17 Apr 2016That's a nice way of conviencing yourself that it has a great chipset! but in reality its a sl... moreif you really just interested in "benchmarks (peak performance) rather than real life performance (sustained overall performance)" then ( OVERCLOCK ) is your answer, Overclocking the CPU/GPU will result in higher benchmark scores which will please your eyes and put your mind to rest.
Kirin 950/955 chipset at the current state (AnTuTu 6) "is on par with the LG G5 and the Galaxy S7" perhaps "due to its throttling policy". now you can imagine what ( OVERCLOCK ) will do to Kirin 950/955 chipset which remained cool through the benchmark test (see link below) and what the result would be like?? also the same thing goes for the GPU.
http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p9_benchmarked_kirin_955_put_to_the_test-blog-17658.php
Search for the word ( OVERCLOCK ) and read some article about it see how it affects "benchmark (peak performance)" results.
PS : I don't recommend anyone to ( OVERCLOCK ) this device or any other device unless they know what they are doing and take full responsibility.
cheers.

I mean, i already knew that benchmarks basically only give us an idea about how fast it'll perform in the hand, but you'll only got to know that exact speed, when you start using the device under various pressures.
The s7 performs worse than the p9 in certain countries? It's kinda hard to believe but it makes sense. The S7 and other flagships have a higher resolution display that requires more CPU/GPU, so that makes it work better or worse... P9 stuck with the FHD display which IMO is more than enough for a screen like that. Anyone can say anything, FHD is enough, true - higher displays are nicer, a little bit sharper, but an average user won't be able to spot any major difference, unless they've been asked for it.

And just take out the china share of huawei than you guys will know what is what :)
And don't worry
Xiaomi and Lenovo/Moto is taking share from them one by one.. From Samsung as well as from huawei

Even in the market people who came to buy majority of it says that we need a "NEXUS 6p" not huawei nexus 6p.. And if you read carefully behind Nexus 6p device
The dominancy that how big huawei was written and how big nexus was written on the back of the device you will know than that it was a nexus device or a huawei :)
Mate 8? a phone with a terrible camera?
Bigger battery? which any phone under 200 dollars is giving .. what else? A their own chip ? Lol they following sammy like exynos but they didnt know they cant get the level of it...
