truth is these two are for completly different targets in the cellohone market the galaxy as always is aimed at the non compromising group who want a complete package that works from the moment u turn it on and have no time to use add-ons and the G5 on the other hand is aimed at those who get bored quickly with the tailored pack and want to add on to the expireiance to further thier experiance. to look at this more rationaly the choice in chipsets, samsung mainly used thier inhouse chip which has always delivered top class performance in all use case senarios and yes it has toped most chipsets offered on android platform consistently. honestly there is no winner in this comparison the editor just highlighted the strong points of both devices and i hope the readers on this tech site are smart enough to have noticed that they are both made for very different uses. both high performance and properly targeted to their user groups.

The fact that a product is sold better than other of course does not mean it is better. That is purely common sense. If a product is sold more than other could be due to the fact that is better, certainly, but also because of people trust it more, have had nice experiences with the brand in the past, or because it's simply more popular within the media, etc...
So sales figures or whatever you wanna call it has nothing to do here. Bye.

Both are very good.
For me LG G5 is better.

What tipped the scale to the G5 was the slightly more accurate colors and because sometimes the sharpening while done better with the S7 was done a bit too much sometimes. Tooth sometimes it actually helped more.
But for the more mature processing, better true low light, and faster focus...on top of the S7 already being an overall better and faster device i would rather the s7

I prefer LG G5 for its camera and "slightly" better audio. While The Galaxy S7 for its design and the reliability. Still hoping more from LG and Samsung.

The camera comparison does not take into account the MP and FOV difference between the two.. Both the camera are equally good but the G5 appears better because it captures 16MP worth of detail, 4MP more than the S7. Plus, the FOV of G5 is smaller therefore the centerpiece appear bigger with a lot more detail than the S7's larger FOV which captures more area thus reducing the size and detail of the centerpiece. When sensor and processing are at this stage of maturity, simple brawn Megapixel count tip the scale for the winner. We will probably see Megapixel race resuming in years to come.
