Anonymous, 12 May 2016So the best camera phone so far is G5 ?Yes. It seems Samsung went lower MP count for nothing. SMH
Anonymous, 12 May 2016I also like the s7 edge more than G5, but come on, the way u r declaring s7 a clear winner is ... moreOkay... for the sake of fairness - shouldn't this review clearly state that the winner of this camera shootout - is based upon the subjective opinion of the reviewer... irrespective of whomsoever it is --- And not post generalized declarations of which manufacturer has the best camera...
What all the LG fanboys are trying to do is state categorically that the G5 having the oldest sensor.,.. with the smallest pixels... actually beats cameras incorporating much newer sensors... with larger pixels... Be honest... does this really make sense...?! Its like asking whether any point & shoot camera with a 1/2.3" sensor can match or beat a RX series camera with a 1" sensor...?
Was this test done with the firmware update that addressed camera issues?
Anonymous, 12 May 2016Sorry HTC and Samsung. LG won this one. Congrats LG on making the best camera. So the best camera phone so far is G5 ?
Htc is slowly trying to come out from their own graveyard in terms of cam department. Drastic improvement over last few years flop cameras but it still falls just behind g5 & s7. Considering the overall package Htc 10 is arguably the best flagship as of now.
LG G5 has the best smartphone STILL camera
Considering video Camera and overall still Camera performance S7 edges out here
except of video recording (Quality & 4K)
Huawei P9 Has best camera in android and againts iPhone
AnonD-454153, 12 May 2016I would rather buy P9 than G5 P9? Woooh, it is not even close to LG G5...
Anonymous, 12 May 2016Woow HTC 10 great camera I think with the latest update htc 10 will beat s7 and g5Absolutely sure
HTC 10 does the best job here, and not only that, in all departments too, its the biggest monster piece of technology
Crying fanboys everywhere, the G5 has the best camera, period. It´s not the best phone over all thuogh.
Almost all the pictures from HTC look washed-out.
Almost no picture have depth like the other 2 devices.
IMHO, HTC should not be compared with the other 2.
Even though the S7 was used from different angles than the other 2 (on a few pictures like the one with the flower) it still delivered.
G5 - we know it's very good and it has the best software (that the other manufacturers started to copy)
lol who cares if your phone doesn't have the best camera of all? boo hoo go cry me a river. as long as it doesn't mess up your photos then 2nd or 3rd best isn't a cause to become a whiny baby donkey about it. if you want real photography then go get yourself a proper camera.
Anonymous, 12 May 2016Are you kidding? Terrible processing is one of sonys biggest issues yes do tend to do bad processing, i'm saying they try to do minimal processing most of the time....but boy are they bad a low light
AnonD-62967, 12 May 2016Very disappointed with this review. So many important areas not touched upon such as focusi... moreas always the king of the jungle has to let the contenders make themselves noticed hence yhe galaxy s7 edge was pulled into this test. yeah its understandable that the galaxy flagship has to contend and still as any other year deliver consistent results and hence in this test again the galaxy has aqueinted itself with honour and dont stop now we still wait for the comparison with apples offering later on in the year. and thanks to gsmarena for for proving once again how samsungs tech is consistent and reliable even if they did not show the superiority of the new focus system samsung has implemented on the s7 s camera. thanks again GSM chears.
Sheamus, 12 May 2016I am a photographer and I can say, by heart HTC 10 has clearest and detailed photography shots.Delusional HTC fanboys everywhere.
Sorry HTC and Samsung. LG won this one. Congrats LG on making the best camera.
I love comparison reviews like that but one thing I noticed is HDR comparison. Guys you pick up photos for HDR that don't need HDR and it turns out to be over HDR. Flowers for instance.
