In my opinion rather a low end, rather than a mid ranger. Only the build construction and the Samsung brand, but I would prefer anytime a Chinese model. And is far from being polished and optimized: my S5 Duos has a better battery life with full HD Amoled display and consistently better CPU, GPU, WiFi and all the rest, even if the official numbers of the battery are lower. But the review is topnotch quality as always and very polite.

You guys should include the LG K10 in your alternatives portion of the conclusion. If found at the right price with the right amount of ram its equal to the J5 as the top of the entry midrange category. UX is soooo much lighter them touchwiz so 1.5 gigs is adequate, and its build quality is surprisingly great. In another league compared to the J5.

AnonD-537930, 25 May 2016Chipset is bad .Other than that ,it's cool .Got a nice battery too chipset is ok for entry level, i own a device with snapdragon 410/2gb ram, no problem for my usage, but that is zenfone 2 laser with ZenUI, i don't know how it deals with touchwiz. but for me, the main problem for j5 is less sensor. something like ambient light sensor and compass are always welcome.

When I saw the price, I was quickly reminded of the chinese smartphone Qiku 360 N4. 5.5" FHD (2D glass), 32gb w/microSD, 4gb RAM, helio x20, ~3000mAh. Its more than entry-spec level at an entry-level price.

When do we expect to read review of J7-2016 (and G4 plus)? Would be interesting to find out if that cell phone has the same pathetic battery life for video playback as this one.
