I was wrong! I believe the Samsung S7 seal battery getting spoilt or battery inflated, the Sony still making the premium phones for consumers.

I can't understand sony.
I have been expecting Z6 to buy and I go the X performance which is a mid range + level spec with higher than flagship price.
I see fail all over this product.
The Z series is excellent and the X series doesn't give any real added value.
Even thou it's a nice product it should have been 550$ not 700$/ it is doomed to fail before they even got started.
I hope september will bring better tidings about the Z series. I don't believe yet that they have killed it.

So your wallet won't be too happy with that either. The z5c was Sony's only good phone, being able to produce a high end phone in a small body. If anybody was to buy Sony I'd only think of that as a reason why.

[deleted post]What other smartphone is capable of doing that? Name just one. And its obviously a crucial feature since apparently some people like you love 1080p display so much you think its a good thing. Being able to have 1080p when you actually need to is obviously better, but seeing as how most games run perfectly you'd have to wait a couple years before even considering wanting a 1080p display for certain games.
The z5p doesn't count obviously, since all it is is a 1080p display that goes into 4k when you open the gallery app.

Higher resolution doesn't mean better display, so it's display will be comparable to the 10 and G5
Dont forget about Audio?
This X Performance is heavily underrated. The 1080p display and one GB Less RAM won't make it a midrange

If you're a die-hard Sony fan, just go get the any of Z5 series. Its still great in performance and since its a 2015 model, your wallet is gonna be happy too.

Beside the look, Sony really don't have any selling point at all in this phone, expensive price with nothing outstanding.
Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, HTC 10, LG G5 & coming Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe all better than this Sony Xperia X Performance.

something z5 premium ... moreNah the z5p didn't really have a 4k display. It was basically always off lol.
This is real innovation thanks to Samsung's partnership with Oculus, and its been a thing since before the z5p was released.

My inside source at Sony told me that they tested the X performance and X camera against Galaxy S7, the latter scored higher across all areas (stability, AF, clarity, noise and colors).
The company is bleeding money and this new strategy is making the situation even worse. They're suffering with pricing and quality and I expect them to exit the mobile business very soon.

Their flagship doesn't even have basic features like a fingerprint scanner.

You're paying for 1080P along with Sony quality and Sony UX. You get more features with Samsung because overall the experience isn't as enjoyable.. so they feed you hundreds of pointless features to mask over that. And it seems to be working, for a lot of people. Others aren't as gullible :p

And with Sony you pay for 2k but only get 1080p.
