Looks like it'll be a nightmare with its poor display, late release, and lack of the bells and whistles that flagships have. Not even having a fingerprint sensor is an absolute nightmare for Sony.
I seriously don't see it doing well, what would Sony use to market it? Its not all bad though, it has front facing speakers, good selfie camera, clean looking metal body. But that hardly makes up for the numerous shortcomings that make it dead on arrival, when it finally does arrive at least.

Sammy phones tend to shatter on first drop, on second drop it becomes totally uselles....
I couldnt believe seeing iphone6 being better than s7 on drop tests, and I thought ip6 was among the worse

Browsing time is more objective than video one, as both screen and wifi work, and it was measured about the same on s7 and X
Nothing in videotime testing is objective here, bear that in mind, cause video time severly depends on what youre playing as a test video as according to the screen tech on the phone tested....oled prefers darker tones in video, lcd prefers whiter....
What kind of video exactly are they making tests with?
It makes a great difference if its some Pitch Black scene looping, or if its some mostly white and colourful scene...
There are also benchmark app battery for SOT tests,( manilla shaker does those in his articles), which give totally different results than ones presented here, ie z5 SOT. 5hr, s7 SOT 4.5hr...
Xeetech clearly states he had been using s7 as his daily driver, and clearly states he is impressed wit X battery performing out of 2600mah, as it lasts about the same as his s7 in his daily patterned usage....
You trying to justify him not being right is your problem...

I know what Sony are doing. THey are going to price it super-high at first, because they know USAérs love bargains so in a month they will make the price 700 and everyone will buy it thinking they're getting a great deal from the original price. ;) Then it will be a killer success 8-)

So please, do not try to sell Sony as a quality-focused brand as that's too hard to believe anymore. Hard to imagine new models being any better.

Even though the s7 edge has an extra 1000mah, which means the display takes less battery as a percentage, around 40% less.
He didn't give anything else in the video that could be compared objectively. Usage was too different and his recollection is too vague. Its for that purpose we have objective tests on sites like this, which clearly show which is better when it comes to doing something GPU intensive like watching a video, or something cpu intensive like web browsing, or something that measures how efficient the connectivity is like calling.

After trying my fair share of the LG and HTC compromises, i have concluded that i will only buy Sony and Samsung from now on!
Last year i chose Z5c, cause the no sd card and tiny battery capacity on the S6 was heavy compromises i could not live with, water resistance and stereo speakers helped me forgive its bezels. The S6 won at premiumness and camera, but they are of minor importance to me and mostly missed on the superior display. The Xp this year has no excuses to bear such bezels when the S7 is also water resistant, lighter and smaller. This is the next thing Sony should adress and tge camera software of course. I still dont get it why they made tge thickest battery and yet still have such a small battery, i chose battery capacity over thiness with Z5c, but on the Xp, they have lost the plot...

And yes, of all the problems with sammy branded devices, usb charge slot breaking is the most common one, second being fingerprint button breaking, as experienced by sammy users I converse with.

History shows Samsung provides faster updates than Sony, and also updated their phones to the latest Android Software version the same as Sony's flagships.
You also said Samsungs USB port breaks easily, how do you know this when you probably only owned ONE samsung phone in your whole life?

No 4K, selling just through stores, no real great new tech means the same as saying it's not a flagship. How could one think it is... I just wonder what's pricing about when Xperformance cost more than z5 premium. It got no new sensors like samsung, no new capabilities like lg, this series looks more like misusing sony brand. Let's hope in fall it will change, but I got no hopes anymore.
