96hr will still be great for sure....but was really hoping to see atleast 5hr improvement from active.
And browsing only 12hr? Didnt even the Note 4 score close to that?

Its the carriers that are the culprit. Mainly Att and verizon with non unlockable bootladers.
The better gpu of the S820 and a couple under the hood things are what benefits it.
Im still waiting to see a stress test comparison between the two different SoC equiped S7s
Osiris, 30 Jun 2016Plain uglyGuess you don't understand what it means to be an extra robust device.
Yet still no usb type c or even usb 3
It is even not future proof
Gets the update way after the original s and note devices
Not compatible with the new update feature of android N
Now someone will cone to attack but here we are talking about a flagship that should have everytging
S6 Active Better Battery life and S7E better battery life 3600mAh vs 4000mAh

This is what you call battery life. (90+hours)
Not that 40 hour crap.
If they ever launch an international version of this then they should use the exynos chipset.
is this unit (samsung S7 active) available also @philippine market?

If I remember correctly, GSMArena tested the Galaxy S6 Active with a different screen brightness calibration (1/2 max brightness). They switched to the 200nits standard for testing after that review. So in reality, the battery score for the S7 active is comparatively higher than the 96 hours endurance measured here.
The problem with shatter resistance is that the screen scratches very easily, just check jerry rig everything on youtube. And the worse part is samsung not providing an easy way to replace the top polycarbonate layer, so it won't take long before the screen has scratches all over it.
