AnonD-259899, 17 Aug 2016Nope water resistance - IP68 is a nothing more than minor deterrent, any sane person should... moreHey, **** zzzzzz *******!!!!!! What do you think you are? A big rationalist? who knows how to calculate his every move and excute it with perfection? You think you're very smart every time you reply just because you think you can justify not buying Note 7? Or do you think it makes you a very clever person to insert smilies into your reply to keep a nonchalant vibe?

You think you're seeing the dumb people around you and your mental sharpness is above them? You think you have a higher level of alertness for active rationality? Thus you make decision better than others and it makes you feel mightier? You're the one who sees through the deceptions and others are zealots? And it gives you the right to offend them?

I believe the fact that a person can have very higher psychological knowledge than others, even to the point of having the highest. But, you're completely deluded with the arrogance you have for your self-esteem.(I'm not saying you believe yourself to be standing at the epitome of psychological knowledge.) You consciously/subconsciously believe you're better than the ones you call zealots. I agree with your point why you call them so. But you're no better. And that's what makes me angry. Even though you may have the power to see through the marketing policies, you harbour in yourself arrogance for that!! The other people are deluded with marketing policies, you're deluded with your thinking that you're not being deluded, which is coming from your Arrogance and multiplying it in the process simultaneously! In the end, you're ending up affronting others.

There are many reasons from various perspectives to justify buying Note 7. And you're not the all Knower to know that Note7 is unjustified buying with the price tag it comes with for everyone in this world.

What if I wanna buy the best mobile in the market right now? Which one gives the best package? And who decides what is the best package for who? Not everyone is a fool to not verify his needs against the marketing gimmicks and spend a fortune on a mobile phone. So, shut up if you don't know it's better to think before you speak!(Oh, I'm positive that you believe you know(just know) that fact already) What if I want a VR experience and a bezelless display, or the extra protection from dust and water? And maybe all of them together? If the design, material, looks didn't matter at all and the digital Gadgets were just for productivity, then don't you think we'd stick with the boxy computer of old age, or maybe the computers that used to take the whole room to fit them!

Remember, dude, everything boils down to user experience and satisfaction with that.

We're humans and everyone has human nature governing his/her conscience. And one of the traits of human nature is that it gets influenced very easily. So those influences play the biggest part in our every decision in our daily lives. So the 'zealots' are influenced to buy it and you're influenced not to. Unless you can immune yourself from being influenced by the world, you have no right to affront others, even though they're being real "zealots"!

"I sincerely apologise if I hurt you in the process, but your Arrogance just made me angry enough to post it. Again, I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. Please, try to take into consideration what I've just started above with an open mind"

SaltandPepper, 17 Aug 2016Yeah, the display part rather disappoint me a bit, I thought the Note7 display would be better... moreYes, that is very weird, hard to believe, double DeltaE than Note 5 itself, both minimum and average, that's ridiculous!

AnonD-245620, 17 Aug 2016Shame , zero improvement in battery life . note 4 have better battery life numbers Note 4 and 5 did not use the current 200nits brightness standard for gsmarena battery life testing (they used the 50% brightness standard instead), hence why the score is lower than the previous generations :)

But why you would be glad about one thing "destroying" another speaks volumes about your insecurities. Just saying.

Also, you're basing your ridiculous comment on battery life alone lol. That makes you a desperate insecure hater. Keep it real bud. Goodness knows nobody else thinks you are.

Glad to see Moto Z Force destroys this. Worse battery life (Moto Display doesn't eat up battery like Active Display does), and as expected less performance, even worse than S7 Edge LOL.
Nice to see shamesung ripping of people with a worse but more expensive S7 variant.

AnonD-367917, 17 Aug 2016Rightnsomyou are here to rile people, and you want us to 'brush up for a fight'.... I tried... moreLol you so disturbed by people agreeing with me? You PR spouting folk really do live in a reality distortion field. Vast majority of the people are not fools to buy an outrageously priced pos that offers nothing more than what a phone from the series offered two years ago. Only a marketing rep from the said company will be trumpeting the virtues in here trying to gather support, sway public opinion. Well you've failed and you will keep failing. I understand you lot have good pay and can parrot these things without flinching. Consumers don't have that obligation they are only loyal to their wallets, no amount of marketing hogwash will change that ;). I'd say marketing departments be totally done away with, it is an overpaid useless role that spouts nonsense that insults consumer intelligence. Very few companies have successful marketing strategies that are adept at selling their bogus hogwash, Samsung isn't one of them ;) There is one it starts with 'A' they have successfully managed to create a religion, hard to replicate though. The rest of your piece was something that should be resigned to the fringes of philosophy lectures, not a tech site. You'll excuse if me If i yawed and skipped over them XD

I tried to have intelligent discourse.
                        You showed me..

If you enjoy your phone so much, not sure why you come and annoy people who just want to enjoy a product or research a purchase.
I credit you for being honest in your intentions...

The general thing I reassure people who cross paths with 'a certain type of person', is we only have to know them for a minute, they are that way for a lifetime...

Rather genuinely; look up 'control drama', assess your pain/hurt, and try to heal.
You belong to a race of humans, and presently your holding everybody back.
If it amuses you, believe it or not, others laugh too,.. just nobody is better off really...
What scares me is your 'upvotes',.. it shows that you have support and the types of people who make up this space.

GSMArena is not bettered by this discourse,.. nobody is 'salty', we just are happy and are trying to share that.

Most of us acknowledge a phone is a multipurpose product, especially when spending this sort of cash.
A lot of people here are happy in their lives.

Go for xiaomi or elswhere if you are cheap.
Best stuff is never cheap. Just get it.

AnonD-367917, 17 Aug 2016I see why people make comments telling me 'not to bother'.. In fairness I went to effort to... moreOh yeah others telling you not to bother, because you and those who are advising you have nothing compelling to offer as something original beyond marketing slide deck copy pastes. Yeah I can see how that fails to make a case for you lot. Perfectly understandable. ;)

Love the attempt though to try rile someone up by suggesting someone is annoyed. Nope not at all, infact am laughing at the zealots defending the price increase for literally nothing new! I thought it should be obvious by now what am doing but I realize mental faculties are not strong points for zealots so I'll be blunt, am obviously taking great pleasure at riling up the zealots here like yourself by pointing the flaws out but you lot cant take it and then go off on the cultist strategy of trying to suggest someone is annoyed. My extended battery and Note 4 will outlast even Note 9 launch by the looks of things. Samsung has gone the apple route of offering nothing new of practical usefulness beyond catchy nonsense like VR gear, HDR, and other pointless gimmicks. The least they could have done was put in a 4000mAh battery to make it worth while and further innovate in the camera space. I'll burst your bubble by saying the obvious, even if it had a 4500mAh battery am not interested in the Note 7 XD

Am here only for the salt bursting out from all the zealots when facts are being presented and the marketing slide decks coming crashing down. Boy if I can sell all this salt in here I'd be a millionaire LMAO

About HDR, you obviously have no clue about HDR. The uproar in the console space is not about HDR, it's about 4K, that 4K being up-scaled with low quality settings from 1080 or 900p. Nothing to do with HDR. The console just don't have the horse power to render true 4K with all settings kept high/Ultra so their 4K angle is another low quality gimmick, that's the whole issue, It seems you don''t even know what the issue is before trying to twist that into some HDR debate lol. Please educate yourself before trying to sound informed on the subject or you will be shot down embarrassingly just like this.

Meanwhile also brush up on your scripts, you are getting sloppy merely reading steps and trying to blend in, marketing PR material is just too obvious no matter how you try to pose like a regular joe. Just sayin' ;)

AnonD-259899, 17 Aug 2016A lot of Samsung marketing slide copy paste I see in your post as expected, nothing original, ... moreI see why people make comments telling me 'not to bother'..

In fairness I went to effort to write to you from a fresh perspective, words, well reasoned by 'a clever consumer' who makes a living recommending fair and correct technology based on peoples needs.

I have a Note (4),.. and am VERY AWARE of the differences between these two models.
And most of the 'marketing speak' hasn't been given out, and therefor I understand that you may not be happy with what you think is 'the exhaustive list' of changes.

Some of them are fairly minor.
Would I think that they are worth selling a Note4 for, and then paying the difference?
That would depend on your personal usage.
As you have made it clear you want 'longer battery'; it sounds like you are annoyed that it doesn't have a removable battery.. I can understand this new product doesn't suit you.

Other users,. positive ones, who see justification to jump on this phone,.. have found ways to add zero lemon cases or use portable 'bricks' to supply more power 'in field'.

If you do not see any reasons to jump ship, I can understand you are partly annoyed that your now ageing note 4, is either replace it, or reinvest in 'more batteries'. Perhaps you are annoyed at having to buy a new battery for it?
Mine still gives two days of usage (medium use/4g) and one day of heavy use per charge.
                                    Twenty months on....

I like it and wouldn't replace it if I wasn't getting a phone paid off each month with my phone plan, and wasn't eligible for an easy "Note 7" replacement.

All the same,.. the 'waterproofing' DOES make it sufficiently different to the Note 4, even if there were no other changes...and this isn't marketing silliness (Ingress Protection is a feature I wanted when I chose my Note 4)..

But you are not a person who suffers marketing hype...
So the Xbox with HDR isn't exactly that?
Do you have an HDR range TV? Oh really ? Is it LED,.. if so it must be a flagship!
Otherwise HDR won't amount to much.
It is just marketing on Microsofts part to make people not realise that they cheated out dramatically on the build of the first Xbox (One), only putting onboard a $40 video part when the competitors spent more on a better build that netted 40% more realworld performance in just about every title (Yes, 20% higher framerate and 20%higher resolution)..
I know which console I would hook up to my TV..
But for people who buy into that HDR marketing stuff: good for you!

For real HDR a gaming PC would likely be required, both consoles being fairly dumbed down.. and who cares, as most loungeroom TVs only render about 150-300 lines of 'motion resolution'.
(I actually enjoy the PS4, and 3xPS3s in the house on whichever TVs they play on,.. but they are flagship TVs and do an nice job rendering colour.. better than cheap HDR TVs that exist as marketing speak...)

Anyhow,.. one day when consumers come to realise that the first proper implementation for the masses of HDR WAS the NOTE 7... I don't care if you missed out on in whilst it had preorder bonuses etc..

The Note 7 is one of the few screens that does HDR well (just about all LCDs unless flagships certainly do not!)...
The size rocks.. it will be with phone owners where ever they go..
The screen combined with the excellent audio (again a big step up from the Note 4, but not revealed by the 'spec sheet', will make the Note 7 an excellent multimedia playback machine...)

I have a flagship bluray player that upscale the colour output of all media to proper high colour.. most bluray players might be 'hi colour compatible' but that just generally means they will play back the title,.. not particularly well.

The Note 7s HDR chip? well I hope the words here contained DIDN't READ like Samsung copy and paste....! (It is brilliant and better than what the vast majority have access to at the moment, nuff said!)

[deleted post]Erm because it really is? Isn't that what Samsung has been preaching everywhere, they have a phone to sell ;) that's what PR gets paid to do. It is a totally different thing when zealots parrot it all day long for a company that doesn't even know the said zealot exists! Lol that's just sad.
