Really? It's IP68 certified but Sony tells you not to submerge it in water? (See page 2 of the preview). The second digit ("8") in the IP rating specifies : "The equipment is suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall be specified by the manufacturer. However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean that water can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects." Sony tells us not to submerge the phone at all? If they not confident with their rating then they should have stated something like IP64 ("4" = splash of water). Hey, it's rated, but don't go there, haha. At least Samsung tells you to stay within the boundaries of the IP rating...makes a lot more sense.

Did you watch the video from PA, comparing the video recording performance of S7 and XZ? It was the S7 which produced videos which were over sharpened, over saturated, and a wobbly video.
XZ's camera wipes the floor with every single Lenovorola phone.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2016Why only Apple or Samsung? Why not other manufacturers with actually interesting phones? Sigh again.There are other interesting devices. Vernee Mars was just announced for example, that have the fingerprint sensor on the side as Sony to.
I think we will see a lot of those upcoming brand in the future.

My Z1C still takes better pictures than moto G3, Stop dreaming,... moreI mean that my old midrange moto g 2015 takes photos without oversharping and a bit fewer noise in daylight than the new flagship XZ and I don't say that it takes better photos than any other high end smartphone

Finally a great phone...from sony...looks great,i expect it feels great too.i have no qualms at all about the 1080p display...as i have used a lot many phones from lot many brands to say that sony has the best ips display..that almost rivals amoleds..and at 5 inches-1080p is perfect for battery life and performance...the camera looks extremely promising too...overall a complete package from sony

I've been feeling I got tired of same old monolithic square design but this time around it seems a bit different from old ones. I prefer narrower bezel but its curved edge would fit the hands nicely.
Sony's phone usually looks better in real life than in the picture on the web so we'll see.
Speaking of reliability and flawless experience, Sony is the best (aside from a few black sheep..) This one is favoured to win my next phone..

In my opinion Sony don't change those bezzels... I won't sacrifice stereo and gaming experience... With large selfie camera sensor bcoz of a bezzels.

it's wonderful phone form sony !!! i can't wait to buy it i bet i gonna be best phone in camera again (like z5 and xp) :D . sony xperia = unique smartphones
