SONY made concept for this design way before Nokia , Xiaomi ,Lenovo released their phones , so it them who copied SONY design concept :) and their implementation of this desing is really bad compared to SONY...

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2016Nope nope nope nope. Z2 is the last Xperia device deserved the flagship title.You are wrong the z5 it's better in all aspects than z2 i have them both, better screen, better camera, better sound, faster, better design, only battery life is way better on z2, just my opinion

Stop being ridiculous. You'd have to try really hard to be able to play comfortably and hold your phone in such a dumb way.

It's actually considered an improvement to Sony. Why? Z2 got 3,2000mAh but only manages to achieve 79h endurance rating. Z3 got 3,100mAh but manages to get 85h endurance rating. Only reason that the Z5 got worse battery is because of the 810 which is a power hog. But that won't happen anymore as the 820 is a very power efficient SoC. About RAM, more doesn't always mean better. Sony's optimization is enough to give a silky smooth experience of the device even with the weaker hardware. 3GB RAM never went inefficient for Sony, and to add it will be a great deal, but we don't necessarily ask for more. About the display, if you can't see the difference between a FHD and a QHD display on a screen size like the XZ, what's the purpose of having 2K when 1080p will give you better battery life, better performance, and overall better experience with less heating issues as the GPU doesn't need more power to run on overkill resolution screen. Display calibration is more important than resolution. It's the reason why people still buy an iPhone 6s with a 720p display

Stop dreaming, come to reality.
Not a fan of the blocky design to be honest. But im more interested in battery life anyway.
