It has great battery life eventhough gsmarena has new standards for battery test.

I need this phone for everyday usage, it has great size, design, and not to forget the performance, which exceeded our expectation. Well done XC
Now I am confused between XC and XZ LOL!

Endurance rating is better than the other stuff Sony has put out, but a lot less than even the z5c.

This phone seems to want to compete with iphone 7 (having the same screen and resolution) and the prices are stupid

GSMarena already mentioned that they've changed the way of endurance testing, so why still put the results gotten by different ways together on one list? Though they've got some flagships retested but not all phones were... At least they should be putting stars for those follows the older testing procedure

even with sd 650 it got a low endurance rating.i wonder how bad the endurance rating would be with sd 820

Innosaintify, 21 Sep 2016Honestly I've not seen those reports about the X, although I know of the camera heat. But if w... moreOk, so let's try and makes sense out of this. Your saying resolution is not a factor, it's all about optimisation right?

So by that logic you could pair a Snapdragon 410 with a qhd screen and as long as you put the work in with regards optimising, then all will be good...........really?

Touchwiz has traditionally had problems due to its sheer size and over abundance of functionality. Over many hardware and software revisions involving ever more powerful SOC's, the pairing back of some of the less popular features....and yes improvements in optimisation, Samsung has managed to make the modern iteration of that skin more or less lag free.

But don't kid yourself, if the S7 ran a 720p screen instead of its qhd one, then its speed would be much greater.

Lex79, 21 Sep 2016Ok riddler man, if the X is faster than the XP as you say, then it'll likley be faster than th... moreHonestly I've not seen those reports about the X, although I know of the camera heat. But if what you're saying is different from that, well I'll own it to outstanding performance.

X being faster than XZ is very much a possibility and that means screw Sony if they fail to optimize the 820 on XZ good enough, bcos they failed for X performance.(If I have the money I'm totally buying the XZ though, faster or not. There's not even a thought about that.)

But that res issue though, sorry I'll not back U up on that. It's really all about optimization.
Else these companies will still be using 720 to keep up performance. Like reports of TouchWiz that slows down with time, that's total lack of optimization. Makes you wonder how Samsung phones are the fastest android of all time.
With you point even Xperia Z5 compact should be faster in performance than GS7, OP3 and Iphone 7 plus but I say dream on to that Sir.

Ameer, 19 Sep 2016i dont understant why sony all of a sudden started making such ugly phones...This is a very beautiful compact phone. It will change your mind in night, because of the secret body color in night.
But, my personal opinion the Z5 compact is more beautiful and it is waterproof, but this X compact come with Qnovo adaptive charging technology and 5 Axis stabilizer and faster focus at night and RGBC-IR sensor and USB TYPE-C.

good phone ! SoC is powerful enough !! camera is superb! details in still pictures make a smile on my face they are interesting!! there are some noise but they are appear when u zoom big!! but in normal zoom and no-zoom that dot-noises make pictures sharper and more detailed than other pictures, they are good for high resolution displays like 4k and more ! but ois lack is bad for this ! sony can use ois and use them just in low light stills if they think their steady shot method is better than other !! yes steady shot for videos is good enough and better than other with ois but just in video capturing in good light!! but for night shots ois is a neccesary madule around the lens and sensor set. but noght shots is good enough but not among the best . cpu and ram and gpu all of them is more than enough for a 720p phone! don't look at this that snapdragon 650 is qualcomm series 6 SoC . it is a powerfull SoC that can power flagships with resolution 1080p and lower.

sony is a good brand but i preffer xz and i love its design with waterproof feature. for now i have oneplus 3 because customization capabilities. just its ois is a fool other things are good !

Just as long as they update that info.

Remember, Sonys UI has intelligence that adapts batterylife to prolonged usage pattern...
So it should be tested after a week of usage or so, not just out of the box.

As for riddling you anything, try this on first, if the X is so well optimised, how come there are still tons of reports of thermal management issues with the device?

Of course not everything is down to the SOC, and optimisation important, but higher resolutions being more processor intensive is a huge and long accepted factor also.

Lex79, 19 Sep 2016So, even if true you think that is all down to the SOC??? Maybe Qualcomm should just ditch ... moreDude you're digging up excuses. Nobody told anybody to use high resolutions to cripple their own product performance.
My guy, all those companies
Samsung
HTC
Sony
LG
Moto/Lenovo
OP
dude, all of them. They know all about tech than you and I, if Res has anything to do with performance they'll know that as well even before you had teeth.
Riddle me this, how is Exynos8890 S7 faster than SD820 S7?
Why is LG G5, HTC 10 faster than SD820 S7.
How come OP3 is now the fastest android phone even more than Exynox 8890 S7?
It was never all about Soc, still just having SD820 of higher Soc's is not the fix.
BTW Xperia X is faster then Xperia X performance, riddle me that.
And I assure you that 1080 IP7 plus will be faster than most(if not all) 1080 phones, so it's not Res. It's usually a combination factors but most especially, optimization.

A couple of days wait for the battery test means two. So far it has been 3 and no results.
