SO, lets say you had an iPhone 7/7 Plus and it got damaged by water despite being water resistant and you send it in to Apple for repairs, do YOU not think Apple WILL investigate the issue the same way Sony does to figure out what went wrong with the phone first before making any assumptions?? Its OK if you hate Apple...but don't say they will just say its the users fault and leave you in a loss. They have one of the best after sales support ratings as a company and you yourself should know that. Thank you!

Reviewer already listed below disadvantages which even only 1-2 of them are deal breakers:
No 3.5mm audio jack (ships with a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter)
          No microSD slot
No dual-camera of the iPhone 7 Plus
NFC functionality limited to Apple Pay
Still no fast or wireless charging, no IR port or FM radio
          No user-replaceable battery
          Scratch-prone Jet Black model

BUT, one very important feature which Android users are all aware of is missing as well (and this is really a big deal breaker).
          -NO FILE BROWSER

Sun Sand, 21 Sep 2016This silly company still going with proprietary port instead of "USB C", how lame is that!!It's lame, but it's a great business decision. Apple makes lots off royalties from products that use their Lightning connector.

AnonD-442781, 26 Sep 2016Sony has the same warranty. Can you read this? I copy it from the official Sony mobile.

                  "Warranty, repairs and customer service

It’s important to know that your warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by abuse or improper use of your device, including use in environments where the relevant IP rating limitations are exceeded. Also note that compatible accessories, including batteries, chargers, hands-free devices and micro USB cables, are not waterproof and dust-resistant on their own.

If you send a waterproof or dust-resistant device to a Sony Service Centre for repair, our repair teams will test it to ensure your device still meets the requirements of its IP rating.

If you have any questions about the use of your device that are not answered here, please refer to our Customer Support Service for help. For relevant warranty information you can refer to the Important Information document, which is accessible via the Setup guide in your device."

The Apple just don't want handle any water damaged issue, but Sony announce they want to check and test it and judge the condition and situation. This is totally different with Apple, Apple no need test or check the water damaged for iphone 7, they don't responsibility or even taking any action to any water damaged incident, it's looks like all fault to be blame to the user. Will you like it? If unfortunately you get a faulty unit from them?

Did anyone else notice the contrast ratio value in this review? Shouldn't the iPhone 7 have a higher contrast ratio than the iPhone 6s since the 7 has deeper blacks and brighter whites

Now that Apple has disappointed early adopters with a mere incremental iPhone upgrade, and Samsung has done even worse by releasing exploding Galaxy Note 7s, the preposterous futility of the smartphone wars should be coming apparent. Those people who are trading in perfectly usable phones for the latest models are the suckers.
A brand new smartphone is anything but a status symbol. It simply means you’ve been fooled into valuing a shiny new object over its impact on labor, the environment, or even your own time. And it’s not entirely your own fault.
After all, our Twitter streams are filled with comments about Apple’s latest product launch and links to Medium posts and unboxing videos by those delighted or vanquished by their new purchases. It’s hard not to want the button, the two-lens camera, or iris-recognition security. Such innovations make a single lens or thumbprint security feel, well, so last quarter.
Yet the gadgets truly in need of glorification in our Instagram feeds are those battered, bruised, and still-ticking devices that don’t demand their own replacement every 365 days.
