It looks like a very sold phone, aside from one if not the most important thing: battery life. I really like the always-on screen, also on the G5, it is light years better than the S7/Edge/Note 7 which do not display "real" notifications, only missed calls and missed SMS messages (lame and stupid on Samsung's part).
However, the battery life issue is a deal breaker.
that second screen looks amazing now and might be really helpfull
but the two things i want to point out the most are the battery life and the heat up problem, now obviously the battery life can be subjective to the usage and as long as it lasts a full day it's ok (in my opinion) but the rating might down a few customers, same with the heat up, they mention it quickly heats up and that's a big issue for some ppl (like myself) i really hope it doesn't overheat.
still looking great device and LG users will be happy just wanted to point those two things :D
wow... great phone, i hope lg packed it with extra battery kit
60 hours endurance rating is so.. so.. but u can change it with spare battery instantly.. this is the lost of s and note series nowadays
I look at the V20 very positively. However;
Reading the 32bit Quad DAC figures, I was expecting a dynamic range of around 99dB. What I see concerning THD & IMD is also normal figures. I haven't seen any exceptional figures like that of Huawei Mate 8 (which I skipped just due to having unremoveable battery and low camera performance). Signal output level is around 0.8V which is good.
Probably we need to wait for an audiophile magazine to test the V20.
I hope it would be sold at an acceptable price level (concerning S7 Edge and G5 are very cheap right now). I will wait for a couple of months anyway.
Lg just doesn't care about battery. South Korea needs to march against this nonsense.
This might be a stupid question?
Where is the power button? Is it embedded with the fingerprint sensor?
Another phone from LG with low quality screen (in comparison with others), bad battery backup and average performance, well at least camera is amazing.
Screen has yellow tint again, I can see it from here... thanks but no thanks
I am considering breaking my G3 screen so I can replace it , this piss tint is killing my nerve cells
"The LG V20 delivered seriously impressive audio output when connected to an active external amplifier. It was among the loudest devices we've seen and there were no weak points to its performance whatsoever."
This device is a portable multimedia player it's one the best ever smartphone that comes with seriously impressive audio output since Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Meizu MX4 Pro and Apple iPhone 5s. Yes the list only a few
303tk4, 23 Sep 2016There you go, every single LG's phone suffers from disappointing battery life!!! I love the... moreI recall one of the LG phone the G Flex has a rating of 97h and among the longest despite using 6" screen and only 3000mAh capacity still delivers 18h of video marathon. Maybe there's more phone that can do a durable lasting but I just remember this one
Is this a final released version?
Some reviewers just have done the preview!
(Open gsmarena) Yes, V20 review !
(Reading intro) "hmmm looking good"
(Reading battery) "WTH, only 63 rating ?"
(Close review, read and post comment)
Knew it. That it wouldn't go over 70h. Since all the other features cover up for its disappointing battery endurance, 63h should be fine, right?
Nope. V20 it's too big for me. 5,7" looks like kitchen pan. I'd rather stay with G5.
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2016me too. i never buy smartphones with on screen navigation buttonsWhy?
Audio, that stereo cross talk tho. not something that quality dedicated DAC should be delivering. quite clear that the 4x 32 bit stuff is gimmicky.
