ssbatman21, 19 Oct 2016Sony does makes the best camera hardware, but it takes alot more than that for your smartphone... morei am 99% sure that the Sony photo quality is intended to be worse than their competitors , to make sure that they will continue to buy their sensors which make Sony most of their profit,
i can't believe that the hardware maker can't produce nice pics out of there own sensors !!
for example look how the front facing cam is out of competition , and i also want to know why
Sony still using 23 MP with F.2.0 aperture ?
Anonymous, 19 Oct 2016That applies not only for G5, but other phones too.yes other phones might nail the exposure too, but not the clarity
AnonD-475675, 19 Oct 2016Why was the pixel(XL) not included in this shootout?GSMArena hasn't even reviewed this phone yet (As of this writing), they definitely wouldn't put it in a shootout
AnonD-475675, 19 Oct 2016Why was the pixel(XL) not included in this shootout?Because it's just been released? Lol.
PLAYER SLAYER, 19 Oct 2016Until you look at the price tag XD.It's priced like other flagships. Pixel costs more.
I voted to lg g5 and galaxy s7 but now when voting is done i download all fullsize images from site but this time i think xperia xz is better than others !! pls download all images in full size and test this !! first time i just look at that zoomed photos but when download them my votes changed for sony xperia xz !!
You should compare iPhone 7+ to G5, not the Single Sensor Version(iPhone 7).

Xperia xz all the way. We can't be too specific here. The xz is very classy looking and an excellent all around smartphone
I would say, if this was done again in the future, it would be nice to mix up which phones are which letters (A, B, C, D). I know once I chose a letter. I had a little bias in wanting to stay with the same letter as the photo quality was similar enough that I was thinking in my head that I wanted to stay with the same phone. Whether it was true or not to me during the test didn't matter. It did end up being what I thought in my head though a specific phone being assigned a specific letter, so I ended up picking the same letter almost regardless of how the image looked.
Anonymous, 19 Oct 2016If 30% to S7, 20% to Ip7 and 10% to XZ, he is not wrong.theres something called manual exposure, if you nail that (then the G5 will be the best in almost every scenario).
