Rex Tech, 19 Oct 2016Quite dissapointed of the XZ,it's a sony phone and i thought it will produce great photos like... moreZ3 plus? Good photos? Lol. That was the biggest disappointment Sony Xperia made.
Of course XZ takes better pics than Z5. But they still have the same issues with camera. Although its minor.
AnonD-590336, 19 Oct 2016you're a strange photographer who likes over sharpened images + inaccurate colors.
the G5 roc... moreFor the S7 only the low light photo is a little to sharpened but is still better then the washed out photo the iphone produce because of aggressive noise reduction. You can reduce sharpness but you can't bring back detail that is not there, any photographer knows that.
In rest colors are generally fine for the S7 photos and it's clearly obvious the G5 photos are more saturated.
Out of the 4 camera sensors from a hardware perspective obviosly the one in the S7 is the best, it has the best balance between normal and low light.
Also I don't understand the obsession with the words oversaturated, oversharpened and natural this and that from people that clearly don't understand photography at all.
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2016Lumia 1020 had only many Megapixels, rest was crap. Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 were better back in... moreThat's because you don't know what you are talking about.
The 1020 in skilled hands can still produce pictures that can't be matched by any iphone or even s7.
Also the 1020 was one of the first if not the first phone to support DNG.
Also Pureview is great and useful tech.
The sony xz is the best phone, and sony must work more on Marketing.
Really happy to know that the LG won the contest here, despite I guessed the rank would be in this order S7>>LG G5>>iPhone7>>Xz.
- I am happy because i feel LG is underestimated by users, and know it is good photo shooter from G2 and G3.
-I am Sony and iphone fan (Z, Z2, Z3, 4s, iPh 6, and ipad 2) and G2 for sure.
thanks GSMarena for this interesting post.
AnonD-431476, 19 Oct 20162nd pic which is low light. Not sure why ppl voted for the iphone. i mean look at the grass. t... moreYeah also look at the road, a lot of details are lost because of aggressive noise reduction.
The S7 photo is too sharp for my taste but that can be fixed easily, reduce the sharpness, boost the contrast and shadows a little and you have the best photo in that stack by a good margin.
The Sony is great unless you really magnify it to insanity level. But why would you want to do that?
Question is which one had the most correct color reproduction. I like the sony though
Wow! I actually choose the Sony over any other phone. I knew I should of waited for it!
Anonymous, 19 Oct 2016Does a real photographer need a certificate ?
If one buy a good camera and uses it for a coup... moreno he doesn't.
yet he should appreciate an artifact free image with the right amount of sharpness
a good photographer is a guy who does a good inspection of the scene & get things right (in-camera), with the least amount of clicks.
Should update with Pixel since Google claims it has the best DxOMark score
2nd pic which is low light. Not sure why ppl voted for the iphone. i mean look at the grass. too washed out. the xperia has a blue tint. only s7 and g5 produced proper colours. and why have u only shot only landscapes and sceneries. maybe you should also try portrait and objects and cars and buildings.
Huawei P9 would beat them all. It has the most realistic camera shots
