Dude, please stop bully china's phone. I have use mi 5, S6, S7, iPhone since iPhone 4 to 6s, and all is great phone. Have you ever use iPhone? how great that phone? and it made in china too.

I have a couple of issues with Xiaomi Phones (based on the Mi Mix i purchased and returned).
1) The integration with google apps and play store it simply terrible... its almost Xiamoi is making it as difficult as possible to use google.
2) IPS LCD screens (not Mi Note 2) are pretty poor if you are used to AMOLED screens.
3) The cameras are pretty average compared with the market leaders.
On the up side, the battery life was great and i loved the Mi Mix form factor.

Mi Note 2 is not bad looking by any means but that's just because it's pretty much a clone of the S7 Edge. Heck, at least Huawei did something slightly original with their edge phones.

It's not just the edge screen and it's features. It's because that screen is among the best this year, in fact it is. After Note7's screen S7E screen is the nxt best. It got a great camera. And that curved screen with minimal bezel looks very beautiful and overall body smoother in hands. And from S6 touchwiz has been toned down a lot and now it feels better to use. Many people bought S6E/S7E for just its design only not for the edge features Samsung provided.

Off course tgere is no international warranty for them, and if you try to get it through reseller it is doubtful will you be able to get it and how long will it take to get your phone back, once you send it to service.
And S7edge is even cheaper for me, on one year contract with my operator (it costs me about 350€,Note 2 over 500€)

The price difference is great and fixing a Xiaomi phone is cheap. You can get parts on the internet easy. I am not so sure that "a phone for which you may or may not be able to claim a warranty is not ideal" applies.

i can't get why the fitted the mi note 2 with such a crappy camera. it's not like they didn't know low light imaging would be crap. if you don't need a curved screen the mi5s plus is cheaper and better.

Raj, 31 Dec 2016When is Xiaomi note2 available in India I love the specs and would prefer to buy it.You will get the Note 2 when Xiaomi launches the Note 3 in China and needs some place to dump all the leftover Note 2's.

Simple. If you can pay around 5000 yuan, there is no reason to save money. S7 edge is branded, prettier, smoother, more curved, thinner bezels, sharper display, more color accurate display, richer retail package and MUCH better camera. But if 3000 /3500 yuan is highest you can pay, and curved display is a must, then you can buy mi note 2.
But OP3 is better if curved screen is not a must.
