AnonD-523334, 25 Feb 2017There may be supercars, faster, more powerful, quicker, sleek, modern looking, but nothing can... moreYour comparison is absolute nonsense. Blackberry has never had a proper flagship since Chen took over and a physical QWERTY is not what the market wants. PERIOD.
IF the majority of the market wanted QWERTY, Apple's Iphone would have flopped and all the other manufacturers who had made QWERTY phones (where there were quite a few, including Samsung) would be making and selling more QWERTY phones than any other form factor.
That's the reality, so put your super car analogy where it belongs...in the trash bin.
Yet another overpriced offering from Blackberry.
Why doesn't Blackberry go to market with top of the line specs without the QWERTY keyboard. The market decided long ago physical QWERTY isn't wanted by an overwhelming majority of the market. CEO Chen has tried to bring back Blackberry through the QWERTY market for the past 4 years and it hasn't worked. It appears he's a slow learner.
AnonD-207607, 25 Feb 2017this design is not good for gaming.Lol, why do so many people think every phone has to be able to game?
This isn't a toy, it is designed for business users, who need basically two things:
1) Long battery life. They don't want to have to be tied to a charger through out the day trying to keep their overpowered, juice hungry toy (ala Samsung, Apple, etc) fed. This is why TCL went with the SD625 with a 3500mah battery. More than enough computing power for BUSINESS users that are more focused on getting through the day rather than killing zombies.
2) One-handed phone operation. Trying to answer a quick text while talking on the phone, or while looking at multiple document pages on table is much easier if you don't need two hands to run the silly phone. That is why the physical keyboard is so crucial. A competent BB owner can type without having to even look at the keyboard. You can't do that with touch device.
Price as crazy as htc. Asia no longger favor BBM, now people use WA, hardly to sell

At one end are Apple and Samsung who have kept updating their flagships and maintained very stable update cycle...... So their sequels are one of the most anticipated and awaited. At the other end is BB.
Would have been better if they just redid the blackberry bold 9000 with BB OS10. That OS was solid and practical and the form factor made more sense than this behemoth. BB officials have been sniffing too much coke to let this slip through into mass production.
This is intended for business... It doesn't have to be priced aggressively to attract us consumers. As long as ITs from enterprises think this is nice and useful for upgrading they're going to flock for it.
Though they could've at least pack SD652 or 653...
Would prefer buying the bb classic if it run android instead. Its proportion for the screen and keyboard is deemed perfect
AnonD-523334, 25 Feb 2017This time they got it right. Just update the phone in August /September with SD835 and latest ... moreSeriously? That's not how BlackBerry works. They never update product lines. In fact, they design updates for new phones but keep the same chipset inside. Example: Q10 had the same processor as its replacement, Classic. Z30 had the same processor as its replacement, the Leap. A 2012 chipset that BlackBerry is still selling on their website in 2017!
There will never be an updated KEYone. This is it. This is what BlackBerry expects you to be using in 2020.
this design is not good for gaming.
The efficient soc coupled with a 3.5ah battery sounds likea good comboination.
I love the idea of the functionality of the hawrdware keyboard and would like to see it down under.
599, are you insane, did you mean 399? Going for the Asus zoom 3.
The screen size is too small its like 5" when holding vertically. It should have as minimum 5.3" in 3:2 acpect ratio to be as a 6" 16:9 screen that is the minimum to view a pdf file or excel file in our days (even better a 5.5" in 3:2 would be perfect).
Lets hope that TCL will make one Passport like device with Alcatel Brand that will feature also Dual Sim (DSDA would be a killer device. It would interest too many businness people that travel or need a second Active Sim for data would attract many customers).
Below a screen comparison with many devices.

Hopefully the price will drop down on this pretty quick.
This time they got it right. Just update the phone in August /September with SD835 and latest camera. Can also fit a longer screen in same space by replacing the navigation keys by screen.

Or why not a regular flagship, same chassis, and without a keyboard, full screen. but same design. Just the full screen (keyboard-less) version of this.
There may be supercars, faster, more powerful, quicker, sleek, modern looking, but nothing can beat a classic, retro, slightly modernized muscle car.
