XZ Premium would have been very beautiful if it had atleast 72% screen to body ratio, and it can only be achieved if those top and bottom bezels were not that big like Iphone. Or maybe make it atleast like the z3 compact screen to body ratio. Lets see the successor of x performance, i hope that the previous leaks with very minimal bezels is true, i will definitely buy one.

[deleted post]Actually, that was because of frustrations. If you have read all reviews of GSMArena for sony phones they have been telling it for so long about those bezels and softness in the corners of the camera output of their phones. For me, this is the most unbiased review site in the industry compared with others. They were also telling some good things about the phone as a matter of fact they were excited about the retail unit. The person/s who will feel annoyed about these first impressions are those fanboys.

every time i grab my S7 and ... morehmm i use headphones 24x7 so stereo speakers don't mean a thing for me..and when i do watch something without them my thumb covers the usb port..
but even if you are a sony guy(i'm too..so dont worry) you have to agree notes are awesome..people do say that the stylus is a gimmick..but i have had instances where i was left with the feeling..damn i wish this phone had a stylus

Trent, 01 Mar 2017Please enlighten me on what ground breaking tech Samsung bought that is actually useful..a fin... morethats the thing...all the flagships have reached a neck to neck competition..there are differences, but probably ones that you can overlook..in the end its all about refinement..samsung and lg are doing something..they may be getting worse or better..thats subjective..but something is being done..and speaking of gimmicks..isnt 4k a gimmick?? come one even laptops don't have 4k screens unless you sell a kidney for it..and no sony will have vr from playstation not from its mobile sector

viveksubhash, 02 Mar 2017you have made good points...i was a fan of xperia's glass sandwich when gsma and the visitors ... moreIf we consider the fact that not anyone can have the navigation buttons reversed, opposed to what pure Android designed them to be them NO. F@ck hard or touch buttons. I need them to he themed, customisable and have the ability to make them more or less depending on personal usage. Making them be in a certain way and unchangeable is like forcing everyone get accustomed to your mental decease while you were thinking how can I destroy the original design, ohh yes I'll put them the other way around just because I'm mentally ill. Plus soft buttons dissappear everytime they need to dissappear, either being a video on full-screen or a game. It's not that much of a loss the fact that you have a 0.2" loss of screen at worst. Soft buttons can be transparent, of midget size like 0.02" tall and everything tou want them to be. You have to be at least cerebral damaged to not get the benefits soft buttons offer or a total idiot. the fact you've never owned a device other than Samsung or Apple who also ditched hard buttons doesn't mean this is the correct way to be.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2017S7 edge sucks big time. Beautiful of a phone but performance and usability? Mehhh...My brother owns it and since we live on Greece we get the exynos version. It's performance it's not bad at all to say the truth. On the opposite it's top notch although it's not that far away from my device's sd810 that everyone thinks is an awful SoC. On the contrary differences are negligent due to Sony's optimization. Sth few will ever get that plays a vital role in general performance. Also having one of the best hardware companies build the internals like the dual heatpipes on top of the sd810 accompanied with nougat delivers amazing results. Things you have to see for yourself to believe. Other than that I find the sensivity of the edge screen to be 2/3 of the times you get the device in your hands false pressed. I'll give you that, usability not found on that matter. But except for that I think it's a complete device whatsoever. If only touchwiz wasn't there.

Don't we forget that everything Sony had as standard in its mobile phones since 201... moreyou have made good points...i was a fan of xperia's glass sandwich when gsma and the visitors were generally trashing the model, their UI by far is the most logical too..but you do have to agree that the xa1 looks better than the flagship, and thats something to think about..in my opinion, after seeing the xz premium internals...all the components of s8/g6/zx premium are same or very similar..but lg and samsung did the clever and cosmetic thing to put in a larger screen, for appearance's sake..people might have been calm if sony had dedicated off screen buttons i think

It's the only way they can have a win, b... moreI personally can't find typing on a small screen comfortable as long as the screen is below 6". Wife owns a OP3 and the 5.5" simply makes it damn uncomfortable to type when I tried. 6" is not a total savior either, but hell a lot easier and more comfortable FOR ME. Probably not you, though. So I'd be doing the same thing by saying why people insist on having a tiny screen when they are unforfortable for actual using.
