AnonD-404798, 16 Mar 2017I've just read that IMX258 is on Xperia XA form 2016 and that is $200 low-end phone also same ... moreI would rather have single camera with up to date sensor,
rather than two two years old sensors at the back!
GSM Arena counted the price is funny..
1 new sensor = 1+1 old sensor haha.. that's doesn't cut it for me
Reading this review, somehow seems that LG have no ambition with G6
Having SD821 chipset is forgivable, but:
- 2 years old camera sensor
- unimpressive bezel and no 2.5D screen
- average battery life
- audio quality is not loud enough and DAC only for selected countries
I like G2 and hope LG will rise but I'm gonna skip this phone
Just wait month or two until S8 hit the market, and this phone will retail for 500$ at most.
And for that amount we can really consider it as a awesome value proposition, with all pro's and cons.
DantE O2, 16 Mar 2017extra features for corea only? alright why would i buy a phone from a racist company? i won't.No point in buying a phone with inconsistent hardware across the market.
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2017https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIwIE7A-ZMUThe Pixel's video capture looks more colourful, sharper and brighter than the G6 but the G6 looks much clearer in close-up shots whereas the Pixel looks blurry.
My verdict is that the Pixel looks better overall in terms of contrast, colour and brightness but it fails in very close shots while the G6 takes the crown in the macro department. So the G6 wins in macro video capture while the Pixel wins in overall video capture.

AnonD-404798, 16 Mar 2017Then why don't you share a link to that video ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIwIE7A-ZMU
viveksubhash, 16 Mar 2017you are correct theoretically, about increasing life of phones with new batteries..but mostly ... moreSo many years using phones with swappable batteries, never broke the seal. It's much harder to break the batery pins or the battery door seal than simply see li ion cells die. Never buy chinese batteries, always buy OEM batteries ...
Honestly,my opinion is that Lg failed again.Samsung gonna annihilate them again. They have no chance.I respected LG,cause they have world class engineers.Their only problem was:NO MARKETING.The first 3D phone, the first dual-core phone, the first mobile phone with 2 GB ram,the first quad-core mobile phone...ALL of these inventions was LG's!!But this LG G series has no chance against Samsung...
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2017You could find the comparison on youtube of video recording between g6 and pixel, and g6 is better. Then why don't you share a link to that video ?

I've just read that IMX258 is on Xperia XA form 2016 and that is $200 low-end phone also same sensors could be found on few other Chinese cheapo smartphones. http://prnt.sc/eku0ma LOL G6 is a joke.
ssbatman21, 16 Mar 2017Its purely a matter of personal choice. I too think xz p is a better phone. Firstly u get to... moreAh, finally! Someone who understand about preference. People now days only know slim bezel
DantE O2, 16 Mar 2017extra features for corea only? alright why would i buy a phone from a racist company? i won't.that comment just made my day
DantE O2, 16 Mar 2017extra features for corea only? alright why would i buy a phone from a racist company? i won't.while I would agree with you that same features should be present on device for all regions , it's actually big mobile carriers that demand for example disabling of FM radio ... so customers would be forced to use more data even for something so basic .
I have read the LG G6 has a Gorilla Glass 4 at the back, 5 for camera. And, most interestingly, Gorilla Glass 3 in the front. That's why they actually needed the chamferd edges in the first place.
I wish this site would let us publish screenshots as I just ran 144439 on Antutu with my "out of date" STOCK LG G5... (It's ran as high as 148000 before)
And as for the brightness of the screen, this is the ONLY site I have seen complain about it. It's very legible in sunlight and other reviews have measured the phone getting over 600 nits on auto max brightness.
