hamedans, 07 Apr 2017instead of attacking me as fanboy why dont you prove that
-that redmi has better build qualit... moreThe proof is me owning the Xiaomi phone and also having personally handled the Nokia 6 phone recently while you have not used either phones but shill on anyway because it's a "Nokia". Who's the fanboy hmm? :)
Xiaomi has excellent software updates when it makes sense and their battery life optimization can even rival Samsung's.
- Camera both phones are mediocre let's be honest here. Nokia 6 being just that much more terrible vs Redmi Note 3 Pro. These phones are not to be bought for their camera capabilities.
- "that redmi has better build quality than Nokia 6" - yup it does and it shows when it falls from your hand. I've dropped every phone I've ever owned (yeah I handle 'em rough). It even feels great in your hand, solid build. Nokia 6 felt nothing special, it actually felt rather ordinary, people can claim whatever they like I only trust my own impressions. Nokia 6 build quality is over hyped if one was really honest.
- "has better audio than dolby atmos" - Dolby on phones is just HRFT and you can get that apk to install on most phones now with hacks in place if you so care about it. Nothing beats proper high quality DACs and neither phone has anything special in terms of high end DACs. Dolby Atmos consumes more CPU power because it is a software emulation not very good for battery endurance. A gimmck best avoided. Sound on Redmi Note 3 Pro is just fine without any software emulation overlays but you have that option too if you really want it just google it up.
-"has better polarising layer than nokia 6" - I tried Nokia 6 under sunlight and because the panel is poor in overall brightness none of that mattered. It was no better of an experience than on any other LCD so far. As for so called deeper blacks, nope pure marketing by HMD, I've seen far better with real Nokia phones. GSM's tests even show that, my eyes weren't lying.
So let's sum that up, no real stand out feature in the Nokia 6, it is simply put an attempt to pull a fast one on the unsuspecting customers and them fanboys. When HMD makes a phone worthy of the Nokia name I'll buy it, in the meantime this Nokia 6 can go straight into the bin because it is simply an overpriced thievery.
Anonymous, 08 Apr 2017How about comparing it with redmi note 4?Battery life is higher note the Redmi Note 4 but that is coming as a trade off with ever so slightly more delays and slight lag here and there. If you are coming from a phone made in 2014/2015 you wont be able to tell the difference. But for people spoiled by flagships from 2015/2016 they can notice the delays in general usage. It is not really a "lag" per-se feeling, just general slowness when apps open after a tap. Most wont notice it if their starting base is pretty outdated. Best example would be tap open Whatsapp you'll notice the SD820/DS821 phones will be very very quick to react while the SD625 is a tad bit slower, you'd only appreciate that difference if you have been heavily using SD820/SD821 or even SD 805/801 class phones. SD650 thanks to the two A72 cores compensate where the 4xA53 cluster falls short, you hardly ever encounter the laggy feeling. A53s are in-order Cores so the lack of Out of Order execution shows when under heavy loads.
Media is misleading many times. Nokia phones will differentiate itself with better design, build
quality, camera, OS optimization, call quality, durability and reliability. Its stupidity to compare with Chinese brands.
It's 2017 and this phone back still scratch prone lol durability my ass wkwkkwk so durability is something outside scratch? Lol

-that redmi has better build qualit... more1 better build quality no but better processor yes
2 Dolby no
3 half price yes
4 security updates and software updates yes
5 you get what you pay for and can't expect same finesse as the manufacturer who basically made phones what they are now
So many haters against this phone! ha ha ha ha. It just cracks me up. If you don't like the phone, just don't bother reading about it. Makes sense?

tonymancs, 07 Apr 2017Someone just made me laugh hard. Such passion. Wow. Keep going my friend :)))Punishes people who don't think like him, too. Talks in condescending, passive-aggressive gibberish.
And forces some wage-slave mentality, on people who don't care about value for money.
Someone just made me laugh hard. Such passion. Wow. Keep going my friend :)))
Mr.Smit, 05 Apr 2017It's a really well built phone.Nope, I've handled it at the store. These claims are way exaggerated and in everything else it is subpar compared to numerous cheaper and more powerful mainstream phones.
_Unknownymous_, 05 Apr 2017Have you checked JerryRigEverything videos on youtube?? Try to check Redmi Note 3 Pro and Nok... moreI have the Redmi Pro and I have handled the demo unit Nokia 6 at my regular store and I repeat, Nokia 6 is no match for the cheaper more powerful Redmi Note 3 Pro phone. This is just one of many such phones out there from various brands that makes any sane person question the mental state of fanboys willing to overpay for something like the Nokia 6. Try being a fan of our wallet instead hmm?
hamedans, 06 Apr 2017redmi note 3 is good for those who want good perfomance, but majority of people need good all ... moreAnd in all of those things you mentioned this Nokia 6 is decidedly subpar, the 135USD Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is miles better. Simply stating a falsehood won't make it reality. Being a fan of a brand is a dangerous thing for your psyche, try being a fan of your wallet instead, that's what I do. Just sayin'
Savor, 06 Apr 2017I am aware about that. I own a Xiaomi flagship from 2013 that I got for only $245. But this No... moreLol this again? You so concerned about privacy? Let me break it down for you. NSA/American intelligence agencies have access to everything made by american firms. You use the internet? then you have signed away your privacy privileges, period. Privacy: It doesn't exist. You always have the choice to go off the grid completely, but something tells me though you are not ready to do that at all ;)
Rest of your post was already addressed: Redmi Note 3 Pro 135USD, more powerful than this imitation Nokia phone. Only the fanboys will overpay for less. I don't know about you but am a fan of my wallet.
Savor , 06 Apr 2017The brand name Nokia is still legendary to many people using mobile devices since the 1990's. ... moreyou forgot that Nokia used to excel at battery life which now has became mediocre at best
Savor , 06 Apr 2017The brand name Nokia is still legendary to many people using mobile devices since the 1990's. ... moreThe PROBLEM with SD430 are its "age", its OUTDATED 28nm architecture known for power-inefficient, its low CPU performance, & its PATHETIC GPU.
Looking at EVERY ANGLE, at EVERY features it offers, SD430 doesn't worth one bit to powered "mid-range" smartphone, which NOKIA 6 claimed to be.
The REASON why Nokia (HMD) choose to go with SD430 for 5 & 6 because they want to make devices AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE and sold it AS MID-RANGE phone, which means PRETTY EXPENSIVE, and use XIAOMI & OnePlus OLD tactic, making SMALL volume of handset & sold it in FLASH SALE, a marketing tactic used to "raise" Nokia name by making it look like their BRAND & products still have "place" in consumer's heart.
My analysis of the current Nokia is they WANT to overthrown Samsung and ONCE again become a "king" in smartphone world, that way, they can once again 'control' people with their "gimmick features" and make people buy smartphone NOT because of its specs, but because of "gimmick features", pretty much like what Oppo & Vivo did now; sold a "selfie camera phone" but with notoriously cheap MT6750 SoC, but NEVER mentioned it...
The Nokia 6 for me ticks all the right boxes except the not-so-powerful processor and the stock Android. I don't like the plain look, close to zero customizability options and lack of useful inbuilt features on stock Android. Kudos to Nokia for making the Nokia 6 really tough.
consumersmartphone, 04 Apr 2017Nothing special except: Extremely sturdy phone! Look for comment below, just "Sturdy", "Tank" ... moreYeah, because it is everyday we see strong build quality from Chinese brands and Samsung building sturdy phones using glass rears.
RameshI, 06 Apr 2017I feel Nokia should upgrade SoC on Nokia 5 & 6 to Qualcomm Snapdragon 625/650 as 430 is to... moreThe brand name Nokia is still legendary to many people using mobile devices since the 1990's. The great build quality is still there too. I don't really see the issues except using a weaker SoC but I don't game to even notice. Even Snapdragon 410 was good enough for me. It would be a great value for under $100 though.
People forget Nokia was legendary through four areas they excelled at -
Budget pricing (lower end)
Clear, loud reception
My favorite phone brand is back! Time to reclaim its former throne...
