Sony Xperia XZs review Comments

By looking at the specs n youtube video reviews , this phone seems to be the Best device offered by Sony.
Pictures and Videos recorded on XZs are much better than S8. By changing screen ratio n useless borderless design doesn't make solid device.
SONY certainly knows what Quality is... .!

Sure, it's better than the P10 and P10 Plus but can you find a comparison video of the Xperia XZs to the LG G6 and Galaxy S8? I think Sony cameras are above average but they're not trash.

Surficial, 16 Apr 2017An improved hdr mode would be good. My x compact struggles with bright lights in dark areas.Use lowest LE and slow shutter... that ll do the trick.

Well, even the V20 got a lower score than the G5. If it wasn't for the artifacts, XZ might have a chance of being the first phone to touch the 90 score mark and even exceed it

My x compact struggles with bright lights in dark areas.Spot on, most androids just use HDR as a shadow brightening mode, the XZ's approach is no different, but more subtle. That it doesn't reliably trigger in auto mode is the infuriating thing though, you have to go into 'manual' mode, then 'settings' and enable it to be sure....not the most convenient solution.
Using the XZ camera I am constantly reminded that whilst the hardware is top notch (and it really is), it's held back from its full potential by Sony's software, which really needs to be taken back to the drawing board.....

My main gripe is though is the somewhat limited dynamic range, which means the XZ tends to over expose and blow out highlights like sky details and such.
This is not limited to the Xperia mind (though there are devices on the market with much better dynamic range), but in other camera ui's you often get an exposure compensation control without have to call it from the settings menu.

in low light manual adjustment is required. I hope they improve the UI as well to include iso on the front of the interface.

So sad to know that sony is sitting together with those unreputable brands. It used to be a king back then.
